Dropped in here for a quick lunch on Saturday afternoon since I was in the mood for Mexican food.
Then, when you first walk into this place, you’re gonna notice it’s not real big and it’s not super flash your fancy, but it looks very clean. Nice neat organize and you’ll feel comfortable here. .
The serving size really is quite large. Looks great. Taste great when you first inspect it and get it. I dove right in and I did love every minute of it, but there is a downside to the macho burrito that I ordered. It’s about 75% rice and only 25% ground beef, which is what I ordered. Although it was very tasty, I gotta be honest with ya there overuse of the rice, kind of takes away from the overall experience .
No, the lady that owns the place or runs it is very nice very helpful and very courteous and I enjoyed speaking with her . The young gentleman that served me and took my order also very nice speaks incredibly fluent English and Spanish. But I did notice I had to ask for water twice I had to ask for salsa twice and when I asked for my receipt twice I never did really get it.
So in short, if you’re in the area, if you’re doing a pick up, this is probably a great selection as for a business meeting it’s too small and don’t plan on getting a receipt back if you’re planning on cleaning as a business expense for lunch .
All in all, I give us place a double thumbs up, but they really could cut down on the filler rice that...
Read moreWe decided to stop by this restaurant since it was close to our hotel and the photos looked great. The atmosphere is colorful and fun, and I love when restaurants have bright, hand-painted seats like this one. It seems like it’s usually cleaner based on pictures, and it’s cool that they make the avocado fresh in front of you — though $12 for it felt a bit steep (but hey, it be what it be!).
Unfortunately, the experience didn’t match the vibe. When we arrived, it wasn’t busy, but no one greeted or seated us. Several tables hadn’t been cleaned, and we waited about 5 minutes before asking if it was seat-yourself.
Once seated, no one came for drink orders for quite a while. My husband’s drink came quickly, but my Coke took another 15 minutes. Normally I don’t time things, but with a hungry toddler, the wait felt extra long. We waited 56 minutes before finally asking for our food to-go.
I was hoping the food would be worth it given the high reviews — sadly, it wasn’t. On top of that, the prices didn’t match the menu. A meat add-on listed as $1 ended up being $4, which felt misleading.
That being said, the restaurant has potential. The aesthetic is inviting, and it seems like they try to put care into some elements, like the fresh avocado. I hope they were just having an off night and can improve on consistency and service...
Read moreThis is my 3rd visit and I'm sad to say that the food is now way too greasy and is not spiced correctly. Our salsa was way too watery but corn chips were good. I ordered three street tacos which dripped with oil and not enough flavor (lacked salt and spice). The hard corn shell were a bit on the stale side. My friend had the Amigo Fajita, burned and way too oily. There was plenty of food, too bad it didn't taste good. No one came to check on how was our food or refill out waters.
1st review: The hospitality was great. We were sitted quickly, we decided to sit out side but inside was very pleasant, colorful and clean. We ordered the watermelon and hibiscus water, that were brought to us in a large cups. A little too sweet for my taste but I know that Spanish they love to add sugar to their drinks. We ordered Molcajete and fresh guacamole. The food was delicious. My only complaint was they over charged me for guacamole. They charged me $12.50. Beside that, if you are looking for more authentic Mexican food, I would recommend this place. They come pretty close to what they...
