I was told the couch I received would easily last 5 years with no problems . I paid a very big amount for the āBrynnā couch I believe itās called , pardon me if Iām mistaken. itās a dark grey (comes in light brown thatās whatās shown on the floor) material with a seamless pull out piece that when pulled out looks like a queen size lounging couch. I was smitten at first sight!! Although it was a big purchase I was determined to get this couch. I told the sales lady I just had a baby, a 7 year old a sloppy fiancĆ© and investing in a hypoallergenic Aussiedoodle for the kids to grow up with. She told me this couch would last and last at least 5 years. 4-5 months later and I wake up from a nap with my baby crying with her leg caught in a huge gap that appeared in the roll out/pull out part of the couch. I was livid.! I called and they tried telling me they couldnāt get anyone out for a week. This couch has become basically a staple for our family . I was happy I was accommodated and someone came out to fix it that day (he was great) and it really didnāt take long . Anyway, yesterday I leaned up against the arm of the couch to hang a curtain and I felt crackling on the couch . I was confused and I pushed again the cheap board they used is literally cracking inside with minimal pressure . Iām not going to lie the couch is beautiful and extremely convenient⦠but Iām starting to realize the āamazing quality ā could have been found at Big Lots. I purchased a recliner as well, not much to say about it- itās comfortable enough but is very hard to put the recliner part down. My fiancĆ© abandoned it and our 7 yr old curls up on it instead of reclining it because itās a pain. I should have known though due to our previous experience- our last pull out couch , the bar would not stay extended so we could never pull it out. I thought it was a fluke because this place is supposed to be known for quality, and wow you sure do pay āqualityā prices . Overall there are good payment and financing options even for people with poor credit which is nice because everyone deserves decent furniture. Sales woman was nice but when it comes down to It itās her job to sell you furniture. Just do your research read reviews on any piece youāre considering if available and really think about it. I know the big expensive warranty Plan they offer seems like a waste like I thought since I was told this couch would last minimum 5 years but maybe...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWaited 3 months for a bed frame. Found out after the delivery it was assembled incorrectly with parts in the wrong places, others falling off or not installed at all. They didnāt take away old mattress, as advertised, claiming it was āstainedā and that they didnāt want to contaminate other furniture in the truck, as stated by customer service. The mattress was not stained, and most importantly I was NOT told there were limitations on the condition of the mattress.
I came to Raymour and Flanigan to support a local, brick and mortar business. I was particularly interested in the fact that the company would set up my new furniture and take away the old. I got NEITHER of those things purchasing my furniture from Raymour and Flanigan, and though Iāve complained to the company Iāve received no feedback that would encourage me to shop here in the future.
I would have spent less money and dealt with fewer headaches if I had the followed the path of most people I know and ordered from an online retailer, instead of dealing with a company that clearly doesnāt value or support their product OR the customer keeping their business alive.
Note: I ordered the furniture in December with a delivery date of late February. Itās currently March 28 and no one has returned to fix the incorrectly built furnitureāthe soonest they claimed availability was April 9. No resolution at all on the takeaway of the old mattress, which Iāll most likely need to pay for removal of.
UPDATE: Technician came on the 9th. Could not have been nicer. If the original field personnel were this customer focused this review would have taken a more positive tone. Still have my mattress sitting in my hallway with no word from R&F if they intend to honor their sales pitch, taking away old with purchase of new. Included pictures to customer service. "They will look into it". UPDATE: May 4th and still looking into it UPDATE: May 14 mattress finally removed. After multiple emails and phone calls the customer service in Scranton managed to twist the delivery teams arm to do what R&F promises in their advertisements. I got an apology. Apparently they are just another mediocre furniture store with a big advertising budget and mediocre (being civil) delivery team. I was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBefore I begin, I would like to warn people of this companies shady business practices and salesman Anthony Marchiano who frauded my husband and I. My husband and I purchased a tempur pedic mattress, a bunkie board, two pillows and a mattress protector about 9 years ago from this store with the help of Anthony Marchiano, not sure if he still works at this store. We were charged for items we never ordered (two extra sets of pillows at 199 a piece and an adjustable base for $999. No mention of any adjustable bed or extra pillows occurred in this transaction with us at the store. As I said we only ordered the mattress, two pillows, a mattress protector and a bunkie board The salesman Anthony was insistent that we needed a bunkie board as he said, foam mattresses need a solid surface to lay on, otherwise they will sag. He tells us that the bunkie board is a solid piece of wood with a covering. So we order the items and my mistake for not reading the receipt properly in the store before leaving but I never imagine something like this could happen. Anyways big lesson learned. After i noticed the overcharge on the receipt for the items we did not order, I called and their response was that because we used their financing they could not offer a refund or anything of the sort. So they pretty much stoled money from us knowingly. Ok so now fast forward about 9 years later my husband and I decided to swap out the bunkie board we purchased at R&F due to it creaking a lot and it being terribly uncomfortable. My husband proceeds to cut it up so we could place it on the curb on trash day, well the shock i tell you when I see that the bunkie board was not actually a solid piece of wood but instead it was CARDBOARD held together by pieces of wood. CARDBOARD. My jaw dropped, I honestly could not believe what I was seeing and they charge $100 for this? I had to take photos because honestly i hardly could believe it myself. This brought back so much anger at our experience with this store from all those years ago. Buyer please beware, the sales people work on commission so they will try everything to sell you anything and make...
