Flower Field Inn & Cottages — Hotel in Stroud Township

My wife and I stayed here in order to attend a wedding nearby in Stroudsburg. The initial allure of this location is that it is Pet Friendly and it was not part of any corporate conglomerate. Not that I was trying to stick it to the man or anything I just wanted something more “sleepy” and something that might have had a little more character than some white washed hotel chain.

This location is privately owned. It is not some big chain location. The location is older (not “dirty”). So, yes, the room might be a little outdated. So what? Its a motel room. Not your house. If I had any complaints it is probably the quality of the wireless internet. But the only reason I noticed that was because I was trying to write a paper for school while I was there and the internet would time out more often than I would prefer.

The motel is a single floor. No stairs, lobby, or elevators to deal with. Our room was good sized studio. Queen bed with clean sheets a linens. Tv with cable. Pullout Couch. Kitchenette. Full sized fridge. Kitchen Sink. Coffee maker. Microwave. Bathroom with two sinks. Bathtub with shower. The motel serves breakfast in the morning (cereal, fruit, WAFFLES). There is a drive through liquor store next door. You can leave to walk your dog and come back with a 6 pack.

All three of us were very happy with the accommodations. Me. My wife. My dog. No problems with noises from others. The staff is incredibly nice and very willing to help and give directions. When faced with the question if we were going to stay another day, we did not even hesitate to tack on another day. Would definitely come back. Hands down. ...

The woman who owns this motel told my mother a different price than she told me trying to jack the price. Also she has banned me from visiting my mother due to either hear say or making a story up. I'll admit when I am at fault for something but this lady is cruel and am not sure it's even legal to ban me as I have not done anything wrong. I don't speak to anyone who stays there however she says I did and made up her own story. I am gay and she doesn't like that so she also has threatened to charge me for visiting everyday, again she is wrong I've never visited my mother more than 3 days a week and have never stayed overnight. If you are looking for a friendly environment this is no place to go. Please be warned you will get screwed over or kicked out and charged 1000 dollars for a 30 day stay for a very small room with one bed. I hope if you end up staying here you have better luck than we did. And I will be suing on the discrimination toward me. Good...

I wouldn't recomend this place. I lived there for some odd years When I moved in the room was ok. But it had roaches. They would bomb every so often. After telling them over & over they did nothing. They care nothing for those living longterm there. If you tell them something needs to be fixed they don't care. The maintenence man is nasty & rude. The woman who deals with taking the rent is a nosy busybody who thinks you want her advice. They have a snitch in the area who is a busybody who can get away with anything & everything. When you try to talk to anyone about it they shut you down. People who run it don't care about anything except getting money. They raise the rent as well so you can barely survive. My advice.....go...
