My server was amazing — she explained the ordering process in detail and presented the menu with such genuine enthusiasm that it set the tone for the whole meal. She was an absolute delight from start to finish.
They offer an all-you-can-eat option for $32.99, with the ability to add on indulgences like lobster, crab legs, scallops, and more. I went for the fried rice seafood boil combo: jumbo shrimp, baby clams, black mussels, green mussels, crawfish, sausage, corn, and potatoes. For my appetizer, I chose the lobster bisque, and for sushi, I kept it simple with a California roll.
The lobster bisque arrived first, and oh my word… this dish could thaw even the frostiest soul. Rich, savory, and deeply comforting, it starts with a gentle warmth and finishes with tender bites of lobster. The spice level is mild so it’s perfect for someone just dipping their toe into the spice pool — and it’s wonderfully filling.
The California roll wasn’t the standout of the night, but it was still fresh and enjoyable, especially for the price.
Then came the true star: the seafood boil. The presentation was colorful and inviting, but the magic was in their house special sauce — bold, flavorful, and absolutely addictive. The black mussels were juicy, though milder in seasoning, while the green mussels were divine and might have just changed me as a person. The crawfish were beautifully cooked, the jumbo shrimp shone when coated in the sauce, and the baby clams were simply delicious. The sausage was unexpectedly full of flavor and paired perfectly with everything else.
And then… the crab. If you don’t order the crab, you’re missing out. Perfectly cooked, sweet, and tender, it was the best I’ve had in years. I wanted to capture a perfect crab meat pull, but I was too excited and devoured the best pieces immediately.
Overall, it was a delightful experience. My only disappointment was not being able to grow a second stomach to enjoy more. I’ll absolutely be returning to try new dishes and, of course, to have more of that...

Formalities My wife and I arrived last night around 9 PM ideal for a late night bite since The Rocking Crab stays open until 11 PM. The only caveat? The Stroud Mall closes between 6 PM and 8 PM depending on the day. You can still enter through ShopRite, but it’s easiest to park up front and head straight in the main entrance. If the restaurant’s open, you’ll always be able to access the mall to dine.
Atmosphere A giant crab sculpture above the entrance sets the tone before you even step inside. The interior is vibrant and modern, with warm lighting, nautical accents, and comfortable seating. It’s spacious enough for groups yet cozy enough for a casual date. The full bar serves beer, wine, and inventive cocktails.
All-You-Can-Eat Menu There are two AYCE sections: sushi and “kitchen” (Cajun seafood). Sushi rolls come in 6 or 8-piece orders (rolls), while seafood items (such as clams, crawfish, mussels) are requested by piece rather than by weight a bit unusual, but our server Terry walked us through it patiently. You’re free to mix and match between sushi and seafood throughout your meal.
Sushi Simply outstanding. Every roll tasted fresh and well-crafted the highlight of our visit.
Seafood We opted for garlic butter with medium heat. Each shellfish was easy to peel, perfectly cooked (never rubbery), and richly flavored.
Dietary Notes Many sauces are gluten-free, and each roll lists allergens right in its description. If you have severe wheat/gluten allergies, notify your server because everything’s prepared in shared areas.
Overall For $32.99 per person, the quality, variety, and vibrant atmosphere make this AYCE experience well worth it. We had a fantastic time and would recommend The Rocking Crab to anyone craving fresh sushi and authentic...
Read morePLEASE READ-NOT EVERYTHING IS ALL YOU CAN EAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Restaurant misleads customers by letting them believe that everything is all you can eat when in fact there’s certain limitations depending on what you’re ordering. Also be aware of what time you actually show up because they would then start pressuring the waitresses or waiters that you only have a limited amount of orders since they will be closing. In my situation I wanted to actually have the snow crabs and that is not all you can eat what they do is that there is a price for the “all you can eat” and then after you can get the snow crabs at a discounted price. Like I said very misleading. very fortunate that I don’t need to come back again but this is for everybody else who seems like their fans and in reality you’re not telling them the truth. Last, but not least, there is a surcharge if you leave food behind meaning you did not eat the food. Another customer was in front of me at the table and his wife was not able to finish the meal, they wanted him to pay a certain surcharge but then decided to make him pay $5 extra for a plate to go after they complained, the manager heard and then decided not to charge him anything. Still, I don’t believe anybody should be charged for not being able to eat all the order or be charged to actually take whatever they can’t eat home. By far not a great experience, and if they’re having such a hard time maintaining their economic situation with [Food] maybe it’s just best to close the doors and move...
