Molly's house is a really wonderful organization that helps family members and friends visit their loved ones in the hospital for a reasonable donation of $30. You do need a referral to stay there and I reccomend you plan ahead of time as they do book rather quickly.
The rooms are nicely put together, are clean. And give a real home-like feel. I was in the green room which accommodated the 3 of us comfortably. I didnt like that i couldn't have any drinks in the room. At that time I could only have ensures and due to what I looked like during my recovery period from surgery, I was not comfortable "eating" in the common area. I ended up eating (drinking my ensures) in my husband's car. I understand why the rule is in place, but at the same time I believe a credit or debit card should be on file for incidentals for the careless people.
The common areas of Molly's house are also very nice. There is a kitchen and siding are on each floor. You can bring your own items and store it or help yourself to what they have. I highly suggest checking the dates on their items though as I found some things that were expired. I did bring this to the managers attention and she took care of it right away. It was nice to see someone listening to a guest so attentively and taking action right away. I travel quite a bit and it's becoming more and more of a rarity to see such superb customer service. Hopefully checking everything has become a more frequent process for all...
Read moreWe stayed at Molly’s house for a week while my son went to see his orthopedic specialist in WPB. We had three adults (I brought my parents to help) and two kids (age 3 and 6). We are very grateful for Molly’s house. It was nice to buy groceries and have a place to cook if we needed . There was even some cereal and leftover food from others we were able to snack from before we could make it to the store. The location of Molly’s house was great as we could walk to downtown Stuart where the kids could burn some energy! We also walked to a nearby park (two) that the kids enjoyed playing at. The backyard at Molly’s house is beautiful. My boys enjoyed running around the yard and trying to “catch” lizards. Would definitely recommend this place in the future and hope to stay again for my son’s next...
