No stars! I wasted my gas and my time going to Waters Edge. I was recommended by Tradition Hospital for a sever burn to my right hand. The doctor came in and viewed my hand, and recommended antibiotics and pain medicine, and then followed up on how I should care for the wound. The doctor then returned with another doctor and said that he could only do two days of pain medication because of druggies. I said that I didn’t smoke or drink, he replied, I think you ought to start then. The two doctors and the nurse all exited the room laughing. I thought it was quite disrespectful. The nurse returned to the room and said that they checked and they could not give out pain medication at their facility. This was a new rule that they just found out about. That struck me as strange because the nurse had just told me that they never see burn patients and that their primary care was for patience with melanoma and an inferences on Botox. How does a doctors office treating something as severe as cancer and Botox injections have a policy of no pain meds. And essentially for druggies. I ask the nurse if she was going to clean the wound, apply antibacterial and re-rap it. She said no, they did not have gauze in the office. I said it would be better to clean and re-rap it as there a several very large blisters. And that the gauze not only kept it clean, but protected it from injury. The nurse then said that they did not have antibacterial cream, and would see if they had some vaseline. She left the room and came back with a cream. I asked the nurse, your not going to put vaseline on the wound are you.The nurse said no, I have antibacterial cream. She started to apply it, and I asked if she was going to clean the wound first. She responded no, I’m just going to put it over the cream that’s there. This was very disturbing. The nurse rapped the wound ver tightly with an ace bandage and placed two clips on it. The nurse said to come back as needed. I told her the doctor came in and said to follow up in two weeks. She updated her notes and we exited the room. As the doctor was walking down the hallway he shouted come back in three weeks. Once again this was very disturbing, considering the condition of my wound. As I waited in line to schedule a follow up, one of the clips came off the badge. I stopped a nurse walking by and asked for another clip. The nurse said we don’t have bandages like that with clips. I explained to her that the nurse just rapped it, how could you not have bandages. The treating nurse came around the corner and I asked for a clip, and she said we don’t have any more. At the check out I was not provided a print out of the recommended care for my wound that was given to me by the doctor. Who said that it was going to be very important to keep up the regiment. I told the receptionist that I was not going to make a follow up appointment and that I would not be returning. I would have received better care had I gone to a kennel. If in fact the office does not care for burn wounds, why would they not have made a recommendation to a facility that was better equipped to provide the proper care. My overall review is one of great disappointment.

At my first appointment with this dermatologist on Thursday June 27th at 2 p.m. it is located on Kanner Highway just south of Monterey Road and one mile from US1 in Downtown Stuart the office is modern and state-of-the-art and the staff goes out of their way to provide quality Medical Care and guidance based on the individual patients medical needs of course I provided a thorough medical history and then was put in an exam room and waited for my DOCTOR , Richard S Gagnon and his approach is COMPASSIONATE and INFORMATIVE , he goes out of his way to answer CONCERNS and QUESTIONS and you have a NURSE technician working with the doctor throughout the visit . My questions were answered , the DOCTOR specified two medications for me to start out with and a follow up in 3 months is on the books at which point my PROGRESS will be checked and other MEDICATION options may be presented at that time . SO I can highly recommend this Water's Edge Dermatology Office if you are in need of this MEDICAL SERVICE . THANK YOU Rich Saint Romain 🙏💒👏👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️🖥⌨🖱🖨💿👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️👏🙏💒

My husband went to the Stuart office for a small spot around the tricep area just above the left elbow. Dr. ayomi Omura Biopsy it and came as Stage 0 (melanoma in situ). Surgery to remove it was done by Dr. Kerry Shaughnessy who didn’t remove it completely and needed a second surgery, this time by plastic surgeon Dr. JUAN GIACHINO, JR. and this is the final result of what a real botched surgery looks like. The melanoma was 0.6 mm. I would not recommend this place to take anyone.

Today was our first visit to the practice. The checkin desk staff was great. After waiting for 40 minutes beyond our scheduled time for our appointment. I approached the desk and was told the doctor is running behind and they could not tell me how much longer I would need to wait. I decided I would wait 10 more minutes and If we weren’t taken back I was going to leave the office and find another dermatologist in our area. As a patient with most doctors offices if we are more than 15 minutes late for a scheduled appointment, we will not be seen. I don’t understand why it is acceptable for a doctors offices to keep a patient waiting upwards of 40 minutes without letting them know that the doctor is running behind or offer them some sort of gesture for their time. This rating could’ve been a lot higher. Had someone come out and sat down beside me and said I just wanted to let you know that Dr. so-and-so is running behind… can I get you a bottle of water or snack while you’re waiting….or how about when you check out we have a bottle of sunscreen or something for you at the desk for your troubles and I am so sorry that this happened. Once I got back in the room, it was short and sweet… And was back there for all of about 10 minutes which made my 40 minute wait seem rather silly. I’m not gonna lie my first experience we felt more like a number or just another insurance payment than a person. I personally use a different dermatology practice for myself, but when I called to schedule the appointment for my son, they have a new patient waiting period of about four months… So I decided to give this practice a chance instead. I’m going to see if at the next appointment things turn around otherwise we may go to...

September 2025 update: same fantastic service. Extremely thorough and always there whenever I have an issue. I don't exactly love going to the doctor. But I'm married to a nurse, and she makes me do it everything I should be doing to protect health. It is really nice that these people are right on time with my appointment. Unless I have some kind of issue going on I am in and out quickly. And if I have any kind of issue, they fix it right there. Takes a few minutes but I don't have to worry about it after that.

I've been going here for years just for annual checkup. The office is fantastic. Dr Mini is my normal dermatologist. I'm pretty active and get a lot of sun so it's important that I take care of my skin. A few weeks ago playing golf I must have gotten into some poison oak or something. Started having really bad rash that got worse and worse over many spots. Called in and got an appointment quick. Another doctor saw me since Dr Mini was out. One shot and a small bottle of pills eliminated itch within a couple of days. Now I'm back to normal.

One of the things I like so much about this office is they seem to really make a lot of effort to be effective with my time. Rarely wait more than 5 minutes. The office staff are very friendly and helpful. They use technology well to give me text reminders. This is an all-round fantastic medical practice. They now offer a wider array of services too. And my wife takes advantage of those.

This is our family go-to place for anything skin.

I hope...
