I purchased a Michael Kors purse and wallet online 4/5 and received 4/9/21. The purse/wallet I ordered online looked like a muted coral online. When I received, it was more like a neon orange. Not something I would have ordered, had I know the true color. Today I went to the Suffolk Belk to return the items. I saw the same purse/ wallet in a different color. A lady working in cosmetics assisted me with removing the sensors, so I could look the purse in a different color. I liked that color and told her I wanted to exchange. When I purchased the purse/wallet there was a handbag sale and I got an additional 20% off. She said the price was now higher. As I explained, it was was the same purse/wallet but different color. Had I’d know the original purchase of the purse/wallet was a neon orange I would not have ordered. The picture online did not reflect the true color. The lady assisting me was helpful and understanding. She would have to call a manger to override. While explaining to her manager, she was pushing for an exchange, but manger would not honor the exchange. The explanation given .. was the sale went on for 30 days! I purchased on 4/5. which was towards the end of the sale. The picture online did not represent what I received! A muted coral compared to a neon orange! Because of the higher price, I decided to return and get my money back! The lady working in cosmetics that assisted me, was a sweetheart and understanding! She acknowledged it was the same purse/wallet .. just not a loud as the neon orange! First time Belk...
Read moreIt’s okay. The deals are good, but the prices are a little silly. Honestly(this could be argued) I wish I had a different place in Suffolk to buy nice clothes. It’s stuffy, slightly disorganized, and it’s a difficult search to find sizes. A clothing store should do a number of things correctly; easy to identify discounts and clearance items. Sizes moving from large to small, not in random order or in random racks. The brand name, could possibly line up once in a while with the giant sign on the wall stating the brand. Most color selections are poorly stocked, unless you’re a unique fellow who likes a tie dye dress shirt. They have a nice selection of clothes but too many similar items. It’s like, “would you like this off white shirt by Micheal Kors for 49 dollars, or an exact look alike by Hilfiger for 49?” The discounts are absurd so they can artificially jack up the prices.
The store is dated, hot, disorganized, overpriced, but it is the only local clothing store without going to Walmart,...
Read moreBelk is good for whomever wears the style that the Franklin location carries. The Suffolk location has many more brands to choose from. Not to knock our one and only department style store, but the new selections are old fashioned. The active wear and the jean selection for women is ok. Mens and children not so much.. What happened ?? Why the drastic change in the tpye/style clothing being carried in Franklin?🤷♀️ And the shoe department is lacking as well.. And it's not a Covid thing because Suffolk has lots of fashions. Franklin Belk didnt even get coats this year.(that's what I was told by the salesperson) Had to go to Suffolk to get childrens coats. All and all I love the look of the store (displays and cleanliness)but merchandise...
