My husband and I went to this location a few months ago. While Buster was absolutely wonderful, I must be honest about the store and merchandise. This location had SEVERAL dead roaches on the floor near the bedroom set ups. The ladies in the back were just chatting away. A garbage can in the front of the store (under a desk) was overrun with garbage like there wasn’t a rodent problem at this store! Unfortunately, this was the only chain that had a type of set my husband was interested in. The good thing is that they had to call another location who actually had the set in stock (and they only had what we were looking for on display). Bad thing is that it was the model at their other location. When we got the merchandise, there were a few scratches on the left and apparently on the right, someone tried to cover up the scratches by what looks like a Sharpee (good light shining on it shows EVERYTHING)! My husband took pics and called the company. Weeks later, he has still not received a call back. We wanted to support a smaller business, but just should have stuck with what we were...

First time I came here, everything ran fairly smoothly. I live in Virginia beach so I called ahead to confirm that they had the chest I was looking for. They did. Delivery was $95 so I opted to pick it up. End of story Good experience.

Second time shopping here will absolutely be my last. I called ahead to confirm that they had the nightstand to complete my set (Granted it was overpriced). The salesman rushed me off the phone because they were closing in 10 mins. He assured me they had the item I was looking for and told me to come in. So again I drive 45 mins out of my way because $100 for delivery is unreasonable. I get there and they tell me that the item was sold last night.

So either the nightstand was sold 9 mins before closing or the salesman was negligent in telling me to come 45 mins out of my way to pick up a product they no longer had for sale. Then they demanded I pay immediately before they order another one.

Buster is by far the most helpful and knowledgeable salesman of furniture. He is not pushy, if you go in there talk to him, tell him exactly what you can spend and what your needing. Schewels has a real gem with him. I've lived here since 2003, and they are the best to work with your budget really nice furniture. I told Buster I was looking for a dresser and a chest of drawers, but I was on a small budget, he called me later that morning told me he had a chest of drawers for 98.00, as grandparents raising grandchildren I was so grateful and blessed by Buster and Schewels. Even the women in the office said I got a great deal. And to think I was embarrassed to tell Buster my budget. He didn't laugh he said I'll see what comes in. I've bought from them in the past, I'm in need of bedroom furniture...
