Costco Wholesale — Local services in Sugar Land

My father has been a customer of Costco for many years and has never experienced discrimination against his service dog at any Costco as long as he brought his own wagon to put her in since it’s understandable not to put her in a shopping cart.

We have been to the Costcos in Sugarland & Katy many times, even this new one that opened near our home, & never received a single issue with his service dog.

She wears her service vest & all employees love seeing her, she’s almost like a little celebrity amongst those who work at Costco at this point but today a extremely rude front door woman (possibly a new hire) deemed it okay to yell at & deny my elderly father & his service dog entry to this Costco that he has frequented since it’s grand opening (which he also brought his service dog to as well).

It would be understandable if she asked him to wait outside with his service dog while my mother processed her return but instead she yelled & screamed at my father at the front door to leave the premises which caused him to have a panic attack.

If not for his service dog & my mother, there could have been a possibility of a heart attack or worse.

I am extremely disappointed in Costco for hiring someone who cannot keep a handle on their emotions when their job is to speak to & receive customers at the front, especially the elderly who need help.

Edit: I spoke to the manager Alex on the phone & he did let me know service animals are allowed in on foot & in personal vehicles such as wagons, but not in Costco own carts (which again is understandable). Hopefully this issue does not arise again.

2nd Edit: 08/25/2024, my parents had another run in with the same young lady that yelled at them the first time about my fathers service dog. I was able to get in touch with their other manager Kelly & triple check that his service dog is able to go in to the warehouse without having to be on foot & in her own little wagon. Hopefully a 3rd time...

Complaint Regarding Unsafe Parking and Unprofessional Customer

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with an experience I had today at the Richmond Aliana Costco. Each time I visit the gas station at this location, I encounter a truck parked at one of the fueling stations, even though there are no available parking spots. I am certain that the truck belongs to one of the employees. This situation could potentially lead to an accident, especially considering that Costco has a large parking area, and there’s no reason for a truck to be parked there in this way.

When I went to report this issue to the manager, I was met by a person named Rob, who identified himself as a Costco manager with 30 years of experience. Instead of addressing my concern seriously, he responded dismissively, keeping his hands in his pockets and questioning why this issue was bothering me. His attitude was unprofessional, and his response made me feel disregarded as a customer.

Given that Costco is a global company and Rob has been working there for 30 years, I expected him to take my concern more seriously. A simple “please go ahead” attitude is not what I anticipated from a manager with such experience.

I believe this matter should be addressed for the safety of all customers, and I hope Costco takes the necessary steps to ensure that such issues are handled appropriately.

I am a loyal Costco customer and love to shop and confident in Costco. Why so? Costco stand by their product and service and commitment to bring value and best to customers.

I needed more composites deck tiles and called around Costco and this Costco not only scouring inventory in the warehouse and found them and keep few quantities that I need extra. Administration staff Mio provides me excellent service to help me and I got them the same hour. Thanks so much for helping me. With her help, I was no needed to drive to Pearland Costco to get these fabulous deck tiles.

I also came another day to find fire ant killer Amdro and with Nancy at administration helped me locate the items.

Staff at front desk counter are fabulous too and helped on some promotions items.
