Sadly, I now am having to edit my previous review I wrote. I came in for a haircut and color a few months ago and unfortunately the picture I showed on Pinterest did not look anything remotely close to the hair color I wanted and received. I had previously stated to the hairdresser that blonde highlights do not look good on me (which is what my previous caramel highlights looked like) and I was hoping for a darker root color with caramel highlights. Essentially, I came home as a blonde nightmare and was highly disappointed. I went back in to have the color darkened and was charged a load of money. I was thankful it was darker, however, that is what I had originally asked for when I had the initial consultation. A few weeks ago I came in to get a complimentary bangs trim (which I am at fault for) and showed the stylist exactly how I wanted side swept bangs. I even used my hands to move my bangs to explicitly show how I wanted them styled. For some reason I was given the exact opposite of what I wanted...short, blunt bangs. I was shocked and very upset but decided to hide it. However, the receptionist did not hide her disgust at my hair and made faces at me when I asked a question at the front desk which I regard to be highly rude and immature. I called a few days later and asked to speak with the manager about my experience. I was told that the owner would call me later that day and that never happened. I am never stepping foot in your salon again and I do not think anyone...

So, my son previously went to ROUCOU Salon once to have his hair cut by Carmen, and he was really pleased with it. He asked me to schedule another appointment there with the same stylist for the next time he needed a trim, so I did. I don’t know what happened between the first time he went and this time, but his haircut was SO bad and uneven (see attached pic to see how uneven the cut was), I had to go back and try to fix it. He’s about to turn 14 years old, so getting a good cut is of the utmost importance to him because it can mean getting teased relentlessly if it’s bad. I didn’t go back to the styling area with him this time because the first cut was good, so I didn’t know how bad it was until we got to the car (after paying full price and leaving a 20% tip). He was MORTIFIED. He just kept saying over and over that he was going to be picked on/bullied, and that this is the WORST haircut he’s ever gotten in his LIFE! He refuses to go back and said she knew it was bad because she keep doing other things to try to fix it, but of course, none of it worked… I had to pick a star, or it wouldn’t let me post, but I really would have given no stars...

I had long hair for many years and decided it was time for a change. I did my research and decided to go for a drastic change from wavy long hair to a chin length blunt bob cut. i booked my appt. with Carmen and prior to that i sent her photos of my desired haircut, the technique i wanted her to use to give me volume and a couple of photos. the day of the appt. we went over the haircut one more time and she did exactly what i wanted! :) I'm super happy with my new look that is more manageable, cute and everyone says i look younger. I keep going back for the same haircut and express Keratin to be able to manage my new look. I love Carmen! she is very talented and always listens to you and suggests what is best for you.
