Shipley Do-Nuts — Restaurant in Texas

I agree with the low reviews. I only come to this location because it’s across the street from my neighborhood. Every single time I’ve visited, my order has been wrong—I’ve been overcharged, given the wrong item, or had items missing.

The drive-thru setup is confusing since it’s connected to a parking lot, navigating to it doesn’t make sense. Their intercom system also doesn’t work well—you can barely hear the person. In the beginning, I couldn’t hear them at all, so I started driving past the intercom and ordering at the pickup window instead. Eventually, I switched to using the Shipley’s app because ordering through the drive-thru was such a hassle.

I’ve also walked into the store a few times, but even after repeating my order multiple times and watching them prepare it, it still came out wrong. Most of the time, the donuts taste old and stale.

The only positive thing I can say is that the last two times I visited, I happened to get fresh glazed donuts. That doesn’t happen often, but it was a pleasant surprise.

Also a single glazed donut here is pricey. Shipleys is my favorite donut shop and I’ve been to multiple locations and this location is on the pricier end. I just checked the apps at the different locations I’ve visited to confirm before I wrote...

Only one issue I had here ... there is a lady in the back who puts the donuts on the trays .. she uses her bare hands and fingers to hold the donuts and transfer them to the grey trays

That's is unsanitary shirpleys .. that is disgusting, who knows where her hands been. (If you dont believe me then u can check for yourself, when u go in look at the woman behind the cashier on your right whose putting the donuts on the grey tray shes using her hands without gloves)

I already took a video of her doing this so I'm going back in 4 weeks .. if she is still doing this .. imma post the video here so everyone can see.

I also told one of the cashiers to tell her to wear gloves, but she could careless and strugged her shoulders and continued picking up the donuts with her fingers.

With that kind of attitude, she will drop a donut on the floor and pick it back up and put in on the tray. I don't like dirty hands...

The donuts were amazing. However, customer service was... interesting. Young lady that was at cashier had company with her at the counter and seemed annoyed while helping me lol. I didn't mean to interrupt. I greeted her. She did not greet me back. She packaged my donuts, 2 dozen and a bag of donut holes (threw my donut holes from the drive through window into the bag) lol whoa there little lady! I will continue to go to the location on Mason. It's always super packed on Saturdays but the ladies at the counter greet you, and give great customer service. The customer service at this location was not the best but it still was not bad enough to make me NOT want any Shipley donuts! Lol 😆 they...
