I was with my better half shopping. We came across this store just walking around Sugar Land town center, we didn’t know that there was a Pakistani designer clothing store here in Houston/Sugar Land. Obviously she was very excited.
We were greeted upon entry with a smile by one of the staff members. They were busy so we were told to let them know if we needed any help. We told them we were just looking around so they could help other customers.
There was a rude customer in-store. One of the employees I guess was FaceTiming one of the clients and showing them dresses, and without knowing the detail, she started complaining that the employee was on the phone. She was advised that the employee was talking to a client out of town(Dallas) but I guess the customer didn’t want to wait for 3-5mins. We found it very obnoxious for that customer to behave that way. I work in retail as well, but we have to understand that the employees are not our slaves. They are a help to assist us. No matter how much money one has, they should not forget their etiquette. But for some reason they think that they deserve all the attention and what not. It was just flat out rude what she did. I think the manager tried to explain and de-escalate the situation and the customer was like “I come here regularly, and have been shopping with this brand… etc and this is rude and unprofessional…” I mean, you can have money but you need class as well, and money cannot buy class. And people who have class, are pretty well balanced in their head.
But some people have this complex of that they are important than others, all clients are equal.. you have spent money, you know the owner, etc… why are you pressuring employees for doing their job. They cannot leave one customer they are already attending just to come help you out because you are so and so. In fact if you have been there and spent money, or know the owners… you should be respectful of the employees who are providing your service in that business. Respect your friend’s business and not create issues.
And once the manager stepped in to personally assist her, she wanted a discount at the end of the day… how shameful. Like this was pathetic.
I mean, if you want a discount, start with a better attitude. You will be surprised how much people are willing to do whatever is within their power to give you the best if you only treat them with respect and be polite… just unnecessary drama.
We should have brought popcorns hahaha. That’s what my wife to be said.
I hope this lady reads this review and sees how stupid she was behaving. Some people just want to create drama and get attention and validation for no reason. That’s what it was.
Other than that, they have a really good selection, their prices are a bit high but then you pay for quality and it’s a designer brand.
But kudos to the employees to still remain calm. And even after when they came to help us, it was like the switch was turned on, and they came with best energy, and positivity they could
I am a man so, I don’t care about designer, but I make sure my woman is looking best. She was happy, good choices, good customer service even after all that drama so we were happy. We ended up buying couple of dresses for her.
I would not have written this review, but I just wanted to tell people(and I hope this lady read it)… please present yourself better. If God has given you the ability, don’t think people as beneath you I don’t understand what’s wrong with people.
But should definitely shop. And think the managers name is Sara… I don’t remember exactly but excellent job for standing up for you employees, taking charge of the situation and de-escalating it while not embarrassing the customer or the...
Read moreDO NOT ORDER FROM THIS STORE- EVEN IF ITS YOUR LAST OPTION! I came here because I wanted good customer service for my nikkah dress...instead I was met with lies, attitude and an ill-fitted, wrong color dress that arrived HOURS before my event.
I ordered a formal dress on sept 5th, paid in full & picked a color scheme from their website and emphasized that i do not want pink. The manager assured me that they NEVER had a late order. I was told the dress would arrive dec 5th, plenty of time for a formal dress.
I began calling a couple weeks before the due date, the manager told me to trust her, the dress would arrive. The due date came, still no dress. Mind you, my nikkah was on the 23rd. I need to make sure my jewelry matches, the dress fits, etc. etc. I came in the followng week on the 15th and begged her to let me know when the dress will be shipped because I was stressed out. The worst part is that she made ME feel crazy for asking. Saying brides are happy if their dress arrives the morning OF their event. Im sorry but WTH does that have to do with me? She acted like she was doing me a favor the whole time when I paid for the over priced dress??? Anyways, She said it would ship the next day on the 16th (the saturday before my event). No word from her, I text her on Sunday the 17th - did my dress ship? She said YES alhamdullilah, the dress will arrive on Wednesday the 20th. I'm like ok, fine. Trusted her. At least I have 2 days to figure out my look.
Wednesday comes, I call her, shes "sick" and saying it will arrive end of day or first thing Thursday morning. No word from her ofc, so typical. At this point I am BEYOND stressed and sick of lies. Am i getting a dress or not??? I pull up thursday morning, shes not there of course. She is saying she does not have the tracking information for the dress. What a complete LIE. You dont have the tracking info for a dress arriving to YOUR store?? My family helps me get the tracking info out of her....... my dress did not process for shipping out of Pakistan until WEDNESDAY THE 20TH. MIND YOU, CHRISTMAS WEEK and THE DAY SHE TOLD ME THE DRESS WOULD BE IN HOUSTON. At this point, I am distressed and just sick to my stomach. The delivery date says the 27th. F me.
I run around the rest of the day. trying to find a back up dress and make a new plan. no apology , no nothing from those horrible people. I stay on my phone all day and night checking the tracking information if the dress my miracle makes it to at least Houston. i already had a color scheme and look planned out..the rest of my family was matching... I dont sleep the whole night. My nikkah is in less than 36 hours and I dont even have an outfit.
By miracle I see my dress landed in Houston on Friday morning. I go their store with my mom in the morning to figure out the plan on how they will get my dress from the DHL. Still met with SO MUCH ATTITUDE. ALSO, I have my dholki that night at 5pm. I dont have time for this again. They take hours to even figure something out. F that, we take the manager in our car and drive to the DHL. Wait for an hour. I get my package from the DHL and I leave.
Come home finally at 3pm, dress is FULLY pink, my jewelry doesnt match, my nikkah is the next day at 1 pm and my dholki is in 2 hours LOL.
all of this to say: the manager here is rude and a straight up liar- do not trust her. I was way too nice and trusting and I def learned my lesson. If you already ordered a dress, make sure you are getting photos and stay on top of her on a weekly basis. If you were thinking about ordering a dress- DONT. You think youll get good service and a good product for the price, you will...
Read moreI think a 2 is still generous for how mentally exhausting it was to get my hands on my dress. I’m giving a 2 for the work on the dress (stunning) and because the measurements were miraculously mine. I will warn you though: if you’re like me you’ll go into the Houston branch thinking this is a US based store and ultimately whatever transaction goes through they have to keep their word - as any transaction in the US, keeping in mind a deadline is a deadline and stores simply decline orders if they are unable to provide the product/service when needed. Unfortunately this was NOT the case. I ordered my valima dress MONTHS in advance with the expectation that if they couldn’t go ahead with it, they wouldn’t accept the order, but they did. They also took FULL payment although the studio had no sample of the dress that I wanted - so the lady also referred to the website pictures, which was of no use to me as I had already seen those? But I trusted that the color and work will be as shown and went ahead with the order. Ultimately, the date of delivery was pushed, even though there was no shipping to the US involved (I opted to pick up from the Karachi studio after hearing the horror stories about brides not receiving dresses on time or not receiving what they asked for!). The date of delivery wasn’t just pushed, I had to confirm and reconfirm and keep calling the Houston branch from Riyadh, Multan and Karachi just to figure out where my dress was and when will it actually be ready for pickup!! I cannot emphasize how MENTALLY EXHAUSTING this chase was - you’d think a brand this popular and successful would have better customer service than representatives making promises they cannot fulfill! I also want to mention that my dress didn’t classify as bridal wear, it fell under their wedding wear collection - had it been something heavier I don’t trust they would’ve made it in time at all! On the supposed day of pickup the receiptionist at the Karachi branch said she will inquire with the tailor and find out where the dress is at? I give so much room to so many stores even with bad experiences thinking that it may just be a bad day for them - but anxiety with bridal wear is something brides DON’T NEED TO EXPERIENCE specially if they have paid in full and when they are already stressed about a million different things! I couldn’t try my dress till the night before the event because the pickup date was pushed and I had to figure out another route for it to get to me SOMEHOW before the event. Had the pickup date remained as is, I would’ve at least tried it on and would not have been this anxious leading upto the event. Nobody will be compensating me for the time I spent trying to chase people down, or the money I spent on international calls or the stress I went through. I came on here to see other reviews when I was in the process of getting a pickup date confirmation from the lady at the Houston branch, and I felt terrible for the bride who didn’t receive her dress on time and HAD TO BUY ANOTHER ONE (can you imagine the stress and unnecessary financial burden?!), and when she did receive it it was not at all what she had asked for. I hope your event went well regardless of this mess!! This is just my honest experience with the FTA Houston branch. Please place orders with caution - or just give really early dates so they have room for their unprofessionalism. Disappointing how deadlines mean nothing in this industry - doesn’t matter if the store is in...
