Booked an everyday application appointment with strip lashes and blowout hair service. Each service was a disappointment. Stylist was Illiana for all. She needed direction, a lot of it. Not what I signed up for at all on the day of an already stressful event. She took long in finding products to apply/match my skin until i realized she was looking for foundation- i suggested what i use currently. She didn't ask me what I'm wearing/ what color eye shadow i want so she did pink? Had to be changed to gold when i opened my eyes. Eyeliner was not pulled all the way thru to inner corner. It looked bad. My lashes were lifted on right eye and lifted during my event. Even when i nicely requested if it looked off during my visit, until i was handed a small mirror i realized it actually was lifted and needed to be fixed! And thats when i noticed around my nose, makeup was not blended out. Even the other stylist said "no its good" before i checked up close myself. Now on to hair, i asked for a simple blowout with middle part. She messed up my middle part and when the hair was looking flat one side she only offered to put hair spray in -which didn't do anything... so i suggested to tease the strand of hair and i was told "it will be charged as a styling service then, and that manager is on the floor so she will have to charge me for teasing the strands of hair she messed up on. I probably should have requested a manager, but i was losing my patience. I would hope the manager would encourage iliana to fix the mess up. After all i was asking to tease one small chunk of hair that SHE messed up on. If u want a happy customer, just do it- the job is atleast done right and i would have tipped generously then. I then asked if shes able to bobby pin 2 strands on the side, and again i was told i will be charged for styling service then. I took a deep sigh, paid for my services and kindly left disappointed. Never again. Mind you- my reference pics were done at another Ulta store and that artist did a good makeup service and hair service WITH a hair bow without charging extra! If i could post pictures of the difference i would, but its embarrassing, as someone who wanted to feel special on their baby shower, this was not a...
Read moreVisited this store today to buy perfume. No one offered to help which was fine as I already knew what I wanted. I asked the associate for a bottle and rather than hand it to me she took it to the front to leave behind the counter and rudely asked “is that it?”. Well, actually no I was planning to buy more than one perfume. Once I decided on the second scent, I had to find her to unlock the cabinet and rather than hand it to me she took it to the front. Fine. I went to pay for my items and did not want to enter my phone number. Kayla, the associate LOUDLY and RUDELY proclaimed that without entering my phone number I would not be able to make a return “EVEN WITH THE RECEIPT”. Is that your policy? Again, fine - I told her “it’s perfume. I won’t be returning it”. I finish the transaction and she hands me my bag and (again very loudly so everyone could hear) said “just so you know all sales are final. Even if it’s broken, you will not be able to return it”. So I stood there and opened both perfumes to make sure they aren’t broken before I left as the only people who had handled the bottles were your associates who didn’t trust me to carry my own items to the front to pay. Very disappointed to be treated as though I could not afford to buy perfume and to be yelled at for not entering my phone number. I will not be purchasing $150 1.7 oz bottles of perfume (or anything for that matter) from this...
Read moreI don't know if the employees don't want to be working there, but at the end of the day, it is a reflection of poor management. Especially after so many negative reviews on the same topic. I've visited this location a few times when I know what I want or browsing, looking for the right gift. During those visits, I never had anyone offer assistance, no biggie then because i knew what i wanted . Today, I actually needed help the store had 4 or 5 behind the register & no one to help on the floor. It wasn't even that busy at the register; it was a empty line. They had more people asking for help than they did purchasing. Everyone kept approaching the lady stocking. I needed help with foundation and trying out different kind & looking for suggestions. I know with Covid they want to limit contact, but you can still help make suggestions and provide samples. I needed a whole new set of makeup products from foundation, night skin routine down to lipstick, sponges. Needless to say, they extremely lack customer service. I had a event tonight & wasted time even stopping here. I went to Sephora 15 min further away and it was a total opposite experience. They had employees helping with samples suggestions and informing the best way to use this or that product. I walked out spending around $150 and would have spent more if I had more time to sample. I at least got the basics & won't be spending my time or...
