I had a good experience with this business during my first visit, the customer service was solid, & I felt welcomed. However, my second visit was a completely different story.
I came in to rent-to-own an iPad, and the process was frustrating & disorganized. I was in the store for over 2 & a half hours trying to verify my information and credit. During that time, the manager (Mr. Thomas or Thompson) would stop assisting me to help other customers, which made the process even longer.
After a few days with the iPad, I realized it wasn’t something I wanted to keep. I had already contacted the store to say I no longer wanted the product. Despite that, I received a call from a female employee asking if I was going to make a payment because I was late, & I explained again that I did not intend to keep the device. so I would bring it in when I had gotten a chance, but as soon as possible. Still, they sent someone to my apartment building without informing me, and the iPad was factory reset & given to the employee who came.
Months later, I received a call from Mr. Thomas or Thompson, asking for my login information to access the iPad. I found that extremely odd since the iPad had already been reset. I told Mr. Thomas/Thompson that I wasn’t comfortable sharing personal account info & asked them to let me know in advance if someone needed to stop by because I was busy at that moment. He agreed, but two minutes later, I got a call from someone saying they were outside my building. I was honestly in shock.
When I tried to reach Mr. Thomas/Thompson to reset the iPad properly, he ignored my call & text, so I called the store. When he answered the phone he said “hello” in a very casual, unprofessional tone. not how a place of business should answer calls.
Overall, the lack of communication, poor professionalism, &. disregard for customer comfort & privacy are unacceptable. First impressions matter, but consistency in professionalism is even more important, especially when dealing with people’s personal information & homes.

So we were now hosting at our house! I called a few rent a center's and the phone service was not the best. Finally I called the location near me and got the manager I believe his name is Thomas. He went above and beyond to find me a clean new fridge in my price range and had it delivered in 2 days! Just in time for me to go grocery shopping for the holiday! I was able to make Thanksgiving dinner and send food and dessert to the hospital for my daughter her fiance and all the nurses. Having this refrigerator on time made a stressful time into a smoother situation. We are happy that Tom was at work that night. Read moreThese people are crooks . They give you outdated merchandise that if it breaks, they can’t fix. The delivery guys will often steal from the back and make deals with you. John is unprofessional and is a snake . Years ago they would go to other stores buy a tv and sell it to you and pocket the money without the company knowing . I wouldn't trust these people with my goldfish . They are liars scammers and thieves. Imagine paying for outdated merchandise at triple the price.
