First I would like to preface that my family has been shopping at Whole Foods for over 20 years. In those 20 years, WF has gained our loyalty for it’s consistency of quality, guarantee of good service, and a decent and easy shopping experience. In recent years, that has become less and less true. To the point that we now only get select produce, meats, and fish from WF, and have consistently been buying our berries and breads elsewhere. What we do buy consistently has been our dairy alternative, and allergy free products. Like soy milk and desserts. It comes to our great surprise and deep dissatisfaction that this new location has failed on virtually every front, and continues to worsen the image and quality we got to love about Whole Foods Markets. From the horrendous parking situation with curbs jutting out, and certainly damaging vehicles. Or extremely tight spaces that don’t even allow small CUVs to comfortably pass one another. To the unavailability of some products that should be stocked regularly, and most especially dissapointing of late has been the lack of quality control on the cookies that we buy. The specific brand is Newman’s Own Mint Cookie Sandwiches. A frequent on our shopping list. But in the past 2 weeks, we have been shocked at a sudden change in quality control. What should be a creamy center has turned into a piece of pirate hardtack. At first we thought that it may just be one defective package, so we went back, and purchased another thinking that it would be normal. We ended up going back again for the same problem. Which lead us to opening more than 5 additional packages with the Customer Service staff, all finding the same concrete set cookies in each and every one. What’s more? You might think that after such a blatant blunder, they might recall the cookies, take them off the shelves and wait for another order to come in right? After all, Whole Foods staff and management should have the foresight and knowledge to take care of their customers right? Wrong. We went back today to discover the entire stock was there ready for people to pick up. Again, we gave them the shadow of a doubt, and behold. Yet. Another. Package.
So disappointed, would not recommend shopping here until they fix their issues. The freshness of this building, is a front for a disorganized, poorly designed, and awful circus of consistent mistakes. That results in a horrible customer experience.
Included is a placard. It should just be a permanent sign at this point. Or placed in a large frame outside, as a warning...
Read moreToday, between 10:30 and 11:00 a.m., I went to Whole Foods with my mom and brother. We went because my mom wanted to buy vitamins for herself. There was a staff member in the vitamin aisle. He was skinny, looked Hispanic, did not have a name tag on, and appeared to be middle-aged. My family and I have the custom of checking if products are sealed before purchasing because we have had experiences in the past where we bought items that had already been opened, which forced us to drive back to the store to return the unsealed product. We were doing fine until this individual came up to us with an attitude and asked, “What are you guys doing?” We kindly explained that we were just checking that the item was sealed. He then said, “You’re not supposed to do that,” and he said it with such an attitude as if we were committing a crime. Then he proceeded to ask again, with the same attitude, “Are you going to buy it?” We said yes, and then he left.
The way he spoke to us was what bothered us the most. He made it seem like we wanted to steal the product and, because we were Hispanic, that we couldn’t afford the item. We purchased the product, but my mom was really upset, so she went up to him to confront him. I was translating for her because he is the type of Hispanic who, for some reason, does not know how to speak Spanish. We tried to tell him that we did not like the way he spoke to us, and that just because we were not of a different race or dressed elegantly did not mean that we couldn’t afford to buy something at Whole Foods. He kept interrupting us, talking over us, and still speaking with an attitude. He contradicted himself by saying that he only wanted to “help us” by checking if the item was sealed, even though he had just told us that we were not allowed to check. He looked at us as if we were crazy, did not let us express ourselves, and never apologized. He was very rude and, in my opinion, narcissistic.
We have been going to this location because it is new and closer to where we live. However, I have read reviews, and many people also complain about the staff. It seems like you do not care about providing a nice and welcoming environment. I am very disappointed in the inappropriate behavior of this individual. I do not understand why the company hires rude and disrespectful employees. You have lost a loyal client, and I will never return to this store, not even as a joke. You should take notes from Trader Joe’s—their staff members are much nicer and more...
Read moreSad to say, I wish the old location was still open. At least the staff was friendlier and welcoming. It seems like they hire a bunch of new people, but a few of them are passive, aggressive and rude. Especially the helper with the bag at the register. I said to her, hello how are you. See look me in the face and didn’t respond. So I said to her, you don’t speak to people when they greet you. Mind you me and cashier are both looking at her waiting to hear her response because I said hello to both of them. Her response was “ oh I did notice” like reallyyyyy. If this is the way they’re gonna interact with customers they need to put her and a few others to fetch boxes in back of the store. where they don’t have to deal with any customer at all. Just Rude for no reason. secondly, the quality of the fresh juice at the juice bar, has gone downhill. two different times I purchased the green giant juice and both times it was watery and flavorless. As if they are barely putting any of the ingredients in the juice machine. Very disappointing this never happened all the other times that I would purchase this same juice from them never .so I guess I’ll just make my juices from home. Oh and the fresh seafood section have a whole lot or rules and regulation just ridiculous. Wanted to purchase some salmon and I was told that I can’t ask them to slice the salmon and how this location doesn’t do that anymore since they open up and blah blah blah blah have you ever wonder. listen they can keep this location I will drive all the way to Henderson or go to the strip to the other two locations if I have to. no need for me to come here anymore low on Quality, terrible customer service, highly disappointed. I hope management improves the store. Because This Location is closer to home, but if not, I’m willing to drive to...
