Read moreWe wanted to try this place for a while. We always saw a long line and a group of people waiting to get in. We finally got a chance today, and what a disappointment. Some of the food was interesting, like a hot cheetos bagel. We were looking at the printed menu trying to figure out what to eat. The TV menu changed too fast to really read it. The menu had no prices either. Only on the tv menu. We ordered a bagel with lox and cream cheese. We wanted to sit inside and share our food. They gave us the order in a bag to go. I'm not sure why that was. If they expect everyone to take things to go, why would they have tables inside and out.
Now about the inside area. I'm not sure how this place has an A rating. The garbage inside was overflowing and next to where you get coffee and utensils. It was also right next to a table that you had to reach behind a person to throw stuff out and hopefully not get on them. The "manager" was sitting at a table in the corner eating, and we sat next to him. We had to wipe off our own table since the staff was just chatting behind the counter. They were all very young women, and not one of them looked over 18. Seemed that all they were interested in doing was chatting amongst themselves.
The manager got up, and when I looked over at the table and area, there was food all over the floor that was stepped on, mushed, and to the next table behind that one. We were totally disgusted. We took some pics which are attached.
Now for the food. They brought over our food, and as mentioned above, in a bag. We had to ask for plates so we could construct our meal. We ordered a bagel, lox, and 2 different cream cheese flavors. We asked for the toppings on the sidebso we could make it our way. We had asked for cups for water, which we went to the ice/water dispenser. There was no ice, and the water was warm and did not taste good at all. The bagel was ok. It was not bad, but was not great either. I am originally from NY and know about good bagels. The lox was good and the cream cheese flavors were very tasty. We got cheddar/jalapeño and ghost pepper.
Although the food was tasty, there is absolutely NO WAY we will return here. The place was dirty, poorly run, and overall poor quality of service. I will be very surprised if this place lasts. As we finished up our meal, i started snapping the pictures. Apparently, that caught their attention as the "manager" motioned to one of the young women to go clean.
Unless you want to try out one of the crazy bagels, cream cheese flavors, or what looked like over size sandwiches, I would highly suggest going to one of the othe bagel places that are only a few miles away or go to one of the neighboring restaurants if you are shopping in...
Read moreI was super excited to try this place. We came on a Sunday so it was busy. We waited about 20 min in line which I wasn't too surprised about since the place just recently opened. At around 1130am a couple of the specialty bagels were sold out. We lucked out getting the last fruity pebbles bagel and that was only because we asked the guy to pull the last bagel off the shelf otherwise it would have been a draw as the person right next to us tried to order it right after us and i later found out someone ahead of us didnt get their fruity pebble bagel. They had a large order and when they finally tried to pull their bagel it was gone. We ordered 5 bagels, cut and Toasted, with the cream cheese on the side all to go. Online and in their store, there wasn't pricing for a simple bagel and cream cheese. I figured maybe $3 tops for cream cheese...I was wrong. It was $4.90 to be exact which is a total ripoff. I always order my cream cheese on the side so at least we had a little extra left over but just waaaaaaay overpriced which is probably why they don't advertise it anywhere. When we got home they botched out order. 3/5 bagels weren't cut and Toasted. We ordered a birthday cake cream cheese and got stuck with fruity pebbles creme cheese. Now for the review of the food... Fruity Pebble Bagel = was yummy and tasted like dessert. I liked how the fruity pebbles were on both sides of the bagel. Hot Cheetos Bagel = Couldn't taste the Hot Cheetos, wouldn't order again. Also bagel was a little hard and chewy. Egg Bagel = nice and soft but I've had better egg bagels. Everything Egg Bagel = it was yummy but again have had better egg bagels Everything Bagel = this bagel was tiny in comparison to the other bagels and hard and chewy. Oreo Creme Cheese = was yummy. It did have a cheesecake kind of flavor to it though so if you don't like cheesecake wouldn't recommend. Fruity Pebble Creme Cheese = they basically mixed fruity pebbles into plain Creme cheese. Nothing special. Didn't care for it but my daughter enjoyed it. Jalapeño and cheese Creme cheese = tasted fine, but nothing special. You can make this at home. Just mix plain Creme cheese with finely Shredded cheddar and diced canned jalapeños. Not worth $5. Ghost Pepper Creme Cheese = nice kick to it and was tasty. Strawberry Creme Cheese = tasty but not worth $5
Overall be prepared for a botched order, long wait, and overpriced food. Probably won't be...
