I have just got to say that Stephen, a Salesman at the Store in Summerville was probably the most efficient, of the year in my book. He was with my son and I within 3 minutes of arriving at the store.He said may I help you with anything? I said my son needs to talk about a weight lifting bench. He said, I have got to turn in this paperwork and will be right back in just a few minutes, 3 minutes to be exact. We were so pleased with the young man and his attitude of making us aware of all the lines, of different benches on his computer. We had already made up our minds about what we wanted and we got it all within 15 minutes, and he loaded it into the truck for us. I am not going to mention the other two tremendously big retailers, but I can tell you we were never approached by a sales person at either one. As for the price of the equipment it was the same and that salesman is what sold us on the weight lifting bench. I assured Stephen that in the future we will just come to his store! If all other persons in the sales field were like this young man , what a wonderful world we would live in! He cared and a big thank you to Dick's Sporting Goods! Sincerely Randy J. Cooper...

After going to the store , it took 10 mins to find help . After finding someone the sale associate proceed to tell me the very thing I came there for was trash of a product and they stopped selling years ago and I was wrong it was not online .Than told me I should only invest in the newer more expensive bike . This is for a 10 yr old , who went online and hand picked this item . I'm pretty sure he doesn't care what anyone else thinks about his birthday gift. The fact was it was not there and it was false advertised on top of the disappointment of hearing how someone else felt about the product in person. Personal choice of words from the young man was unprofessional as a sales associate . They're there to guide through the buying process . Not express how they feel about a child's personal choice . Read moreSpoke to someone at 800 # about replacing bicycle tires. She said yes,the Summerville store has a person in the store that specializes in that area. We went to the store,two workers explained that they would direct him to us,as we waited in the bike area,with my grandson and His bike. After about 30 minutes,a tall,young man came,No words,no hello,no how can I help? He looked at the bike,went into another area, eventually returned,said " we don't have that size",and looked away.My friend asked him if they have any on order,he called to a co- worker to borrow a device that I assume tracks orders. He eventually said," not for several weeks". I thanked him and left. I'm a senior,and yes,very aware of the difference in generational courteous behaviors..this was Very disheartening.It was like We were bothering him on The Job!
