We stopped by the World Market in Summerville and ended up spending way more time there than planned—in the best possible way. The store is clean, well-organized, and surprisingly spacious, with a calm atmosphere that makes browsing genuinely enjoyable.
They had a really nice variety of items—everything from international snacks and pantry staples to candles, furniture, and little home décor pieces. It’s one of those places where you go in just to look around and suddenly realize your basket is full of things you didn’t know you needed.
We especially loved the food and drink section with all the international treats you don’t find everywhere. It felt like a little trip around the world. The seasonal displays were also beautifully done and gave a lot of inspiration for gifts and decorating ideas.
The staff was helpful and kind, available when you needed them but not hovering. You can tell they keep the store well maintained, and checkout was easy and friendly.
All in all, a really pleasant visit. Whether you’re shopping for something specific or just in the mood to browse, this World Market is absolutely...
Read moreI ordered a basket online for pickup. I got the email saying the order went through and that I'll recieve another email when it is ready. I periodically checked my email and texts all day and recieved no notificatio. I finally called the store, and the man told me he canceled the order because the handles were damaged. I told him that that was fine, but they should have called me to let me know. He told me I recieved an email about it. I told him that I did not receive an email. He said that whenever they get canceled an email goes out. I said I even checked my inbox before I called and I did not get an email. He got really snippy with me after and told me that he was sorry but I should be getting an email later on. I didn't appreciate the attitude, especially since I did nothing wrong. If their email system is not accurate , they should give courtesy calls in cases where orders need to...
Read moreI found the entryway table I’d been looking for, and the website said there was one available in-store. When I went to purchase it, the employees wouldn’t let me buy that one because there were more in the warehouse and said it had to be ordered. I agreed and purchased the warehouse table, even paying extra for the assembly fee they offered.
Two weeks later, I got a call saying my table was ready for pickup. When I arrived, it wasn’t built. I was told to come back the next day once it was assembled. I couldn’t make it until the following weekend, so I called ahead to confirm, and was told the table was still in the box and not built.
This was one of the most disorganized, frustrating experiences I’ve had just trying to get a simple table. I’ll definitely never purchase furniture from World...
