-Not A Comfortable Shopping Experience-
I normally get my online post card announcements and invites produced at this location, so I haven't done a lot of shopping in store. My husband and I recently went in to find a cash register for a business start up I am pursuing. After we were shown where they were, the guy who helped us turned to walk away, but then looked as though he wanted to turn back around and maybe stand there while we looked, but then left. We were very interested in the items on display, and began discussing which might be best to purchase. As we talked over the items' features listed, a worker came over and interrupted us with, "Do you need help finding something?" We both looked at her, and while I tried to find the most polite words possible, I analyzed the situation before I spoke. I explained the "obvious"..that we had found the item we were searching for, and asked if she could tell that we were content and weren't confused or searching. My husband and I continued discussing the cash registers after the girl left. We moved to another section to check out another item to compare features and pricing. Less that a minute later, I heard a faint voice but didn't even bother to look over at first. Then we realized someone ELSE was asking us if we needed help! And this guys even had his hands full! I understand if establishments may want to give their best to customers, but I would NOT approach a customer with "Can I help you FIND something" if they looked as though they seemed simply ecstatic over finding what they needed, and appeared to be making a decision! Well, unless I wanted to "customer service" them... Our complaint is not "good customer service," but more "borderline harassment." We spoke with a manager briefly about how we felt, but then decided...
Read moreWalked into this Staples and the line for shipping was out the door and there was only one worker behind the counter taking all these returns. Ok, I know what you’re thinking…. Doesn’t sound like a 5 star review I know, but keep reading. Anyway, after about 20 minutes of waiting in line it’s finally my turn, and I’m greeted by this very enthusiastic young man. I present my QR code for shipping and it’s a UPS label and their machine can’t read it. But instead of turning me away, despite his long line, he asked he if could show me how to get the proper label for my package. How easy for him to say sorry, you’ll have to go the post office? Instead he showed me step by step on how to get the right label and get my package mailed. Kudos to him. Now I understand his long line…. I step to the side as my labels are printing and he moves on to the next customer and greets her with the same enthusiasm. My label is finished, and as he’s also helping her re-returning her Amazon package with the same wrong label situation, he prepares my label and receipt without skipping a beat. Hands me my receipt and asks if there’s anything more I needed with the same great attitude he had we he greeted me. Thank you for going that little (whole lotta) bit extra and helping not just me, but everyone else who came to your station. I can’t say how much I appreciate you not just turning me away. P.S. The moral of the story, if you’re going to staples with an Amazon purchase please use the “drop off label needed” option and print your label before returning. You may not get so lucky to get the outstanding customer I received, and you’ll be saying time for more...

I was at Staples today doing Amazon returns and there was quite a long line of people waiting to do returns. There was one person servicing the entire line, and there were 3 Staples employees standing off to the side chit chatting. A woman in front of me asked the employees if they were going to help their coworker. Immediatly two of the employees walked off, and the last one turned to her and said "Our manager told us that we dont really get paid that much by Amazon to do the returns, so we're only supposed putting 1 person on them." The customer then said "So instead of helping your coworker do all of these, you're all just going to chat and watch?" The person responded "Idk, that's just what my manager said" and then the 3 employees met up again to talk and watch a short distance away from the counter.
Furthermore, my wife went in the store the other day to run some returns (from Amazon) and pickup a few things we needed around the house. She had 3 packages to return and got up to the desk and the worker said "You have a lot of returns" to which she replied "Yes I do", and the person said "There's a long line behind you, you're lucky the lady behind you is patient."
Who says this?!
Terrible coworkers, terrible customer service, and terrible leadership directives. Genuinely shocked, I can't believe a business would run like this. Find somewhere else to shop/take your returns that doesn't treat customers like...
