What the pool's web site won't tell you: hours schedule fees facilities rules
So after a few years of waiting for the pool to open to the public you notice it is in use and eventually you find a mention of the Community Swim schedule on an entirely different web page called "sunnyvale splash" so you roll on over there and that is when they tell you six year old kids need their parent to go in the pool with them so you have to go back home and then come back again and at long last you finally get to experience what is a very nice pool.
I guess the city is hiding useful information from the public to keep the pool uncrowded. That will help keep the limited amount of bicycle parking...

They require you shower before entering pool however i have yet to be able to get warm water out of the showers. Be prepared for an ice cold quick rinse!
