CUSTOMERS BE AWARE of UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES BY LA FITNESS ON YOUR CREDIT CARD BECAUSE YOU ARE DEALING with CROOKS at THAT FACILITY!! My son who is a minor joined the Kenwood LA Fitness in December 2017 for one month trial period. Initially the person who signed up my son wanted me to authorize the LA Fitness to charge my credit card every month automatically but my son and I made it very clear to him that at this point we only want a monthly contract and as a result I did not authorize them to charge my credit card other than for the initial charges. I just found out that the LA Fitness has charged my credit card for two months in a row without my knowledge &/or authorization. Therefore, I contacted the facility disputing the charges. First of all they are blaming their former employee for it and are telling me that since that person is no longer working there they cannot do anything about it. They told me I would be charged separate from the gym membership on a per lesson basis at $40. Then I started getting billed $160 each month on top of my gym membership fee- even though I couldnt possibly attend all the lessons. So in essence, they charged me for lessons I didnt go to and said some fine print stated it was a 1 year subscription- which is definitely not what I was told. I called and tried to explain and didnt even want my money back for the accrued lessons, but wanted to cancel going forward. After being put off for two weeks by the manager Alison who said she couldnt do anything, the staff was totally unreasonable and said it was out of their control. So I cut my losses. Read moreWho ever is managing this place is failing. I attempted to do a cardio session on the treadmill machines and at least 8 of the machines I tried to workout on failed. I work out at several la fitness in the cincinnati area. This one is the absolute worst. Management needs to have more awareness of the equipment that is failing. Replace it or fix it. Tell your employees to get off their phones at check in and maybe go test equipment and take inventory of everything that is broken. This place is a joke. With the equipment in the state that it’s in, how do you attract new members ? Fix your equipment.
