From the moment I stepped into Cooper's Hawk Winery and Restaurant, I knew I was in for a truly memorable experience. Nestled in the heart of the picturesque vineyards, this establishment combines an exquisite dining experience with a wide selection of handcrafted wines that will delight even the most discerning connoisseurs.
The ambiance at Cooper's Hawk is nothing short of enchanting. The contemporary decor, warm lighting, and spectacular views of the vineyards create a welcoming atmosphere that is both upscale and cozy. The attentive and knowledgeable staff further enhanced the experience, ensuring that our evening was flawless from start to finish.
The menu at Cooper's Hawk is a testament to their commitment to culinary excellence. Each dish is crafted with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and the artful presentation is truly a feast for the eyes. We indulged in a variety of appetizers, including the Crispy Brussels Sprouts and the Ahi Tuna Tacos - both were absolutely divine.
For our main courses, I opted for the Short Rib Risotto, while my partner savored the Chicken Piccata. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and each dish was cooked to perfection. Our server expertly recommended wine pairings for each course, which elevated the meal to new heights.
Of course, no visit to Cooper's Hawk would be complete without indulging in their extensive wine list. We participated in a wine tasting, guided by a knowledgeable sommelier who provided insightful information about each selection. We were thoroughly impressed by the diverse range of wines, which catered to a variety of palates.
To conclude our evening, we indulged in the Flourless Chocolate Torte - a decadent dessert that was the perfect ending to a magnificent meal. I cannot recommend Cooper's Hawk Winery and Restaurant enough for those seeking an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're a wine aficionado or simply looking for a memorable night out, Cooper's Hawk will not disappoint.
Actually we come here all the time and everything is so good! Feel free to DM me if you need a recommendation!

Read moreRidiculously slow service. Full disclosure: it was a Saturday night, but hey, they should know Saturdays are very busy by now and add extra wait staff. I ordered a beer, they brought me the wrong beer. I get that it's a winery, but they HAVE beer, so I ordered a beer. Instead of simply telling me the beer that I ordered was out (it happens, no big deal), they just swapped it and hoped I wouldn't notice. Right. As if I wouldn't notice the difference between Rhinegeist Truth and their crappy house ale.
Definitely don't go here if you're in a hurry. Luckily, we weren't. We were there over 2 1/2 hours. It took well over 30 minutes before we even got to order. Dinner came probably 75-90 minutes after we ordered. That was fine for us, but again, if we were in a hurry, I would have been furious. Dessert came a lot quicker than that, but by then was about 10pm and the crowds had left. We were pretty much ignored by the waitress until about 15 minutes before we left. Then she stopped by twice to fill our water glasses while we paying the check and finishing up. Come on, we're done at that point -- too little too late.
The food was good, but nothing special. They actually got my order wrong, but fortunately that worked out for the better. The default side dish is fries. I ordered one of the alternate sides, but instead I received fries. They were however pretty good fries. FYI: the portions are small. That's fine for me, but if you're someone who justifies expensive food by the portion size, then you're going to be disappointed.
The desserts sound better than they actually taste. The creme brulee was a little too burnt on top (too aggressive with the torch, I'd guess). The S'more dessert was well liked, but the Ooey Gooey cake was not.
I thought about giving this review 2 stars instead of 3, but I managed to have a decent time despite the poor service and mediocre food, and couldn't justify giving it a 2. This is more of a cautionary tale. The moral of this story is don't go here if you're in a hurry or you're expecting large portions or if you're looking for spectacular food and service. If you're into wine (maybe not great wine) and just need a place to hang with friends for a few hours, this...
Read moreI missed an opportunity to have a retirement party here so when the chance to visit with my wife, son, and friend from the UK hit, I was very excited and looked forward to what I was sure was going to be a 5-star dinner but I was slightly disappointed. When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by a large group of people clambering around stations sampling wines and I thought we entered in the wrong door but managed to find the restaurant entrance and were promptly seated. The dining area was nice as was the both they sat us in. Our UK friend ordered red wine and liked it and rest of us ordered tea which was also very good. We ordered a meatball appetizer and it was quite delicious - being a total meatball snob this says a lot so we’re off to a good start! For dinner, I ordered the pistachio-crusted grouper with mustard sauce, Mary’s potatoes, and asparagus. The grouper was delicious but I would have enjoyed fewer pistachios because they overpowered the grouper. The mustard sauce was delicious and the asparagus was good but Mary’s potatoes were an epic failure - cold and lumpy and looked like they were scooped from a bucket. My wife ordered the red wine braised short ribs - a favorite of hers. The short ribs were delicious but her potatoes were cold and lumpy and her oven-roasted vegetables lacked seasoning and were swimming in what appeared to be oil (inedible). Our friend from the UK had parmesan-crusted filet medallions and soy ginger salmon surf and turf and he enjoyed both of these proteins but the potatoes and vegetables that came with them were inedible. Our son ordered the prime churrasco grilled steak which was cooked to perfection but lacked seasoning (none of us could find a hint of the chimichurri rub anywhere in this steak). His fries were good but got lost in the oil that surrounded his vegetables. So a bit of a mixed bag here where the proteins weren’t bad but the supporting cast really rained on our first trip here. I’d like to return with my wife because I feel like our trip might have been an exception based on the other...
