It just keeps getting worse. I was told by the sales person (Jeremy) in Cincinnati that the 0311P clubs that I bought were available in black at no extra charge. I also purchased a wedge that wasn't available in black. He told me for a small fee that the wedge could be made black. I said great let's do it. I get a call from PXG and the woman tells me that the black clubs are an upgrade and all clubs would require a separate charge. I am scratching my head as to the total 180 degrees between your two sales people. Needless to say I told her not to blacken the clubs because I was mislead. I am a veteran but feel like I was treated like a dirt bag at PXG. I have been playing for 52 years and was all NAVY golf. I have never been treated more poorly as a customer than I was at PXG. I am now curious as to what else I was lied to about. My Allen putters grip was put on crooked. I said something to Jeremy about it and basically got a shrug of the shoulders. I in no way felt like a valued customer. It was absolutely the worst fitting that I have been involved in. It was not pleasant and I can't recommend a PXG fitting regardless of how quality your clubs are. It was so disappointing. I backed off from buying a full set because I was forced into a desion because I had 10 minutes left in my fitting. I was rushed and felt like I was forced out the door. A very poor experience. You need knowledgeable people that care. You don't have that in Cincinnati. At least not for veterans. I will be curious to see if I get the new grip for my Allen putter because Jeremy couldn't correct the misalignment of the one I received. I was told a lot of things but they were both different things by two different employees. If you buy PXG clubs, just don't do it in Cincinnati. Maybe you get first class top tier service somewhere else. I spent a lot of money...
Read moreLittle late on the review because I wanted to try the clubs on the course for several rounds first. I got fit in late November with Jake who was fantastic! I did a full bag fitting and the whole experience was second to none. I previously got fit for every other brand of iron from Titleist, Taylormade, Mizuno, and Callaway. That fitting experience was great and those coins were also great. But I felt like I would always wonder are the PXG clubs better? Well I found out quickly the answer is yes, without a doubt. I did a full bag and did Irons, Hybrids, and Putter. Walked out of there ordering the 0311 XP double black 6-S, 2 Hybrids, and the Battle Ready II Bat Attack fully speced to me. They felt so good in the simulator. They arrived about a week later, but they were a Christmas present so I had to wait unfortunately lol. Little did I know, my wife contacted Jake and ordered me a 3- wood to go with the set. I finally got out on the course at the beginning of April and have played about 6 rounds on them and let me tell you the slogan "you've never played like this before" is 100% accurate. I've always scored half way decent (low to mid 80s), but so far these clubs have elevated my game am the way down to the amazing putter. I love golf, almost more than my family haha, but these clubs make me love it even more. They are so fun to hit and then watch that penetrating ball flight and go straight as an arrow. If you're on the fence about getting new clubs and getting fit, definitely give PXG a chance! Amazing clubs, I can't say it enough! I would've gotten a driver that day as well if i hadn't just got fit for my Paradym haha....
Read moreWent in for a full bag fitting with Jake. He worked with me for almost 2 hours. Was a great experience and it only costs 25 bucks, which goes to the price of any clubs you buy so it’s a steal. Jake was extremely professional and welcoming. I’m a new golfer who has only been playing for 3 months or so, so he was very patient with me despite plenty of shanks on my part.
I hit my irons well enough for him to get me dialed in, and I sprung for a set of new Black Ops. He tested a lot of shaft combinations, lengths, and lie angles. It feels so good knowing that I have the perfect length and stiffness in my shafts now. I was hitting my 7 iron longer than I thought was possible.
Unfortunately I don’t think I hit my woods well enough to justify getting new equipment, yet, and he agreed with me, but he let me try whatever club I wanted. I never felt pressured to purchase anything or felt like I was being upsold.
Lastly I got fit for a new Battle Ready II Mustang putter and I couldn’t be happier. Jake found the perfect length and hosel shape for me, and let me test the different heads until I found the one that was perfect. The putter feels so amazing.
Overall I would definitely recommend getting a fitting from PXG. Even if you don’t plan on buying anything, it’s well worth the experience. There’s a good chance you’re going to want to buy some after trying the equipment, so just be ready! Oh and they have a significant military and veteran discount on top of everything. Thanks, PXG and a big thank you to Jake for a...
