Everytime I go in their I catch the ambience that was my youth, and I live every minute of it! They have Jones sodas in the fridge, video games and couches to chill on, and a skate park in house! Not only is they shop set up awesome they have almost all of the top products on the market, at a price much more fair then any skate shop you could find in the mall....(zumiez,pacsun,vans) not hating on those store but when I'm going to get my skate gear I want to go into a shop, and these guys are patient knowledgeable and friendly, Which rounds off the almost perfect package. Stopped in after getting a tattoo upstairs. I heard rolling around and was told there was a cool skate shop that does a lot of local youth programs downstairs. I HAD to stop in and see for myself and at the very least get something.

If your looking for a cool way to give back directly to the community, this is the spot. I cannot emphasize how assuring and pleasing it was walking into an actual shop, let alone one of this size in this day n age. They even got half pipes in the back actively being used by locals. Great selection of parts n even stickers. Everyone was SO nice, even people who didn't work there were welcoming! Absolutely awesome. We shopped around at a few places, not really sure what we were looking for until we got to Grit City. We purchased a complete and a custom for our children, and the staff was incredibly welcoming, patient, and knowledgeable. They explained every single style of longboard, the best uses, and sizes to our family and let our kids test pretty much everything with wheels in the shop. They were incredibly kind, and helpful.
