The service here was worse than disappointing. It was nearly non-existent. We had a young gentleman on Sunday evening and he was quite terrible. He didn't ever offer to refill because he only came to the table 4 times for the entire 1 ½ hours we were there. 1st to take our order, 2nd to drop off apps. And 3rd he was bringing us our check and I told him we actually still wanted to order pizza. He crumbled the check and proceeded to take our order. I ordered pizza and additional apps, requested a refill and asked to change the channel to Sunday night football as the local news was now on after the game. The 4th time was to bring our pizza and I had to ask for refills again. He never came back as we had to go get him to get a box and our check. We would have stayed and enjoyed Sunday night football and ordered more beers, but when you're either forgotten or ignored it's the worst feeling. Basic server training should be provided. The most basic is checking in on your table regularly. The food was okay. The pizza was below average, the wings were terrible and tasted like the frozen ones you get at the store and put them in the microwave. Cheese balls were in need of salt and also the marinara. The churro bites were meh. Cokes were really good and the Passion fruit sour draft beer was really good. If you're looking for drunk food and no service. This is the spot. Otherwise I'd look for a...
Read moreI got take out, so I can't speak to the sit down experience. That said, the staff at the counter was friendly and their estimate for time was spot on. It only gets four stars instead of five not through any fault of theirs, I just didn't like the pizza much.
The US subscribes to two different styles of pizza NYC and Chicago, this is a Chicago style place. Which means that the crust will taste a little different than what you might be used to (I don't personally like that Chicago crust style, it's a bit more like cardboard than doughy but hey, that Chicago style for you), there will almost definitely be more sauce than you expect, and the toppings (specifically the meat) will most likely be under a layer of cheese. That said, I have been to Chicago and had their pizza multiple times, and this captures all of those ideas and makes it a unique pizza place in the Northwest (it's the only one I've come across). I am just not a big fan of Chicago tasting pizza, so four stars.
I'm not a local (I live near Portland, Oregon) but if I lived by this place I could probably acquire a taste for it over time. And despite the fact that it is Chicago style pizza, it was still good overall. I probably won't be back, but I did appreciate...
Read moreOrder at your own risk. Puget Sound Pizza gets one star because the food was fairly okay. The dough was a bit undercooked but that's not why I'm writing this review.
I'm writing this because our $60 order was delivered a complete mess. Both pizzas smooshed into the side of the box, toppings all slid off. Sheesh, how hard is it to deliver pizza? Over my 20 years of ordering pizza delivery I have never seen it delivered in this poor of a state.
I called and the employee offered to get me the manager, Travis. But he got on and said his name was Kevin. Ok? Well TravisKevin hardly apologized and made a lot of excuses for why our food showed up so jacked. I mean, he said sorry one time. Once. I really don't think he gave a rat's patootie. He was much more concerned about how the driver must have had a good reason for delivering our food that way. Maybe a car cut in front of him and he had to slam on the brakes?
And while I appreciate the offer for replacement, do you think those would show up in the same condition? Probably. And did we want to wait another half hour to eat? Nope. So in the end we were offered a free 26" pie which we will probably never order because why come back?
There are tons of other options for pizza in...
