Disappointed with Service and Professionalism
I was genuinely excited to book Corina Bakery for my wedding cake on 7/19/2025. We had our tasting in January, and everything seemed clear—including the pricing. However, one month before the wedding, I received a call to confirm details and was told I had been mistakenly quoted 2024 pricing at the tasting. The cake price increased by $150, and I was told the full amount was due that day—something that had never been communicated to us at tasting or any point prior.
While we didn’t have an issue paying the balance, it was incredibly unprofessional for the bakery to wait six months to notify me of a pricing error—especially with no advance warning or courtesy reminder that a payment would be expected on that date. The person covering the cost of the cake had no heads-up and was expected to pay the entire balance immediately.
I followed up with an email on 6/21, trying to find a fair resolution. I explained that the price we were quoted had been given in good faith, and that I had planned accordingly. I received no response—no email, no call, no acknowledgment at all. It felt like, since the balance had already been paid, they no longer felt it necessary to address my concerns.
Despite the ongoing issues, I decided to move forward, hoping at least the cake itself would be perfect. On 7/17, I delivered $45 worth of floral to the bakery for them to decorate the cake, per their request since they won’t provide floral for a $750+ cake. When the cake arrived at our venue the next day, less than half of the floral had been used—and the rest was not returned. I find this highly unprofessional. I provided product I purchased myself, and not only was it mostly unused, but there was no communication or transparency about what happened to the remaining flowers or returning them.
Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment came after the wedding. Our cake had three tiers, each with a different flavor. The bottom tier—the largest—was supposed to be honey vanilla, my husband’s favorite. When we finally got to enjoy the leftovers, we realized the entire bottom tier was lemon—the flavor the middle tier was supposed to be. We were incredibly frustrated. My husband called on 7/21 and spoke with a manager, who acknowledged that this was not acceptable and that we’d likely receive a refund for the incorrect tier. She also told us someone would call us by 7/23 and even instructed us to save the leftover cake as “proof.” Like we’re liars?? Also when my husband called to express our frustration with the overall experience—including the lack of communication and unresolved issues—the manager claimed someone had attempted to call me after my email but that I hadn’t answered. However, I have no missed calls or voicemails from them that entire week. If they truly attempted contact, I would have expected at least a follow-up email acknowledging the attempt or inviting further conversation. But instead, we were met with silence.
We did as requested by them but as of 7/27, no one has contacted us. We’ve had no follow-up, no apology, and no resolution. I ended up throwing the cake away, still waiting for a call that never came.
For a bakery with a 5-star reputation, this experience was extremely disappointing. Communication was poor, follow-through was nonexistent, and we were left feeling like we didn’t matter as customers once the bill was paid. If you’re considering Corina Bakery for a wedding or important event, I encourage you to consider other options—ones that will treat you with professionalism, respect, and...
Read moreI can't believe I just found out about Corina Bakery! My wife and I are vegans and have had a difficult time finding delicious vegan dessert options. If that's you too, look no further! My wife bakes the most delicious cupcakes, desserts. Everyone at work can't get enough of them and are always so shocked when we tell them they're vegan. I have attempted to make exotic birthday cakes (matcha, earl grey lavender) for her these past couple of years but they never came out right. While scrolling through local places that offer vegan cakes, I found Corina Bakery. I was surprised to see all the options they have: vegan, vegan and gluten free, vegan gluten & soy free, gluten free. We are definitely a gluten loving family. We found that most places if they offer vegan its both vegan and gluten free. But not at Corina's bakery! You have options! And lots of them! I immediately ordered one 6 inch orange cake with boston cream filling and chocolate frosting without a secong thought. It us my wife's favorite things together. Corina Bakery called me the very next morning to confirm my order and I asked if they had daily vegan options. I was told yes and I said I would be by later that day to try it out. I went during my lunch time and purchased a slice of vegan marble cake, two vegan cupcakes, and one vegan&gluten free cupcakes to test out. When I got home my wife and I tasted tested everything and to my surprise she loved the cake! We still didn't care for the vegan&gluten free cupcakes. Everyone has their own taste buds! The cake pick up was quick and easy. I love that Corina Bakery offers vegan breakfast options. I ordered two vegan burritos and two vegan breakfast sandwiches to try Mong the four people in my house. I opted to warm them up at home and asked for directions. The vegan breakfast sandwich was by far our favorite. It had flavor and just about everything you need in a breakfast sandwich. As far as the burrito, it was missing something- maybe spinach, maybe crumble vegan sausage/bacon. Still pretty good when you add your own sauce. Also, I would love love love to see a vegan croissant options! I would eat here every weekend if there were...
Read moreI like to search out and support local small businesses because I believe they are important to our community and deserve our support. I found Corina’s and decided to try them. I went in with my family yesterday. They were pretty busy, but the line moved quickly. The young lady that took our order wasn’t rude, but seemed very confused by me asking if the 4 inch cakes had to be ordered in advance or if they are available daily like they other items we saw. She told me they closest thing they had to that were muffins.... After getting our order, which came out quickly so that was good. My daughter walked up to the counter to see about getting her almond croissant warmed up. The girl w/ a small tattoo behind her right ear looked at my daughter and continued to make coffee w/o acknowledging she was there. After waiting my daughter had to say excuse me to get her attention to ask about getting her item warmed. Waiting more than 5 minutes and still no croissant, I went to the counter to check on it. The same girl was making coffee. She looked at me and continued to make coffee. I waited a few more moments than had to speak for her to acknowledge me. I asked about the croissant, the girl that took my order came to ask what I needed, when I told her we’ve been waiting a while to get her warmed item back, the girl making coffee said it was down there and pointed to what I assumed was a warmer. The one that took our order looked at it and said she would get her another one. The girl making coffe said the one in the warmer was fine. At this point it had been there around 10 minutes. It took a short amount of time for the new one to be warmed for us. The food was great. The attitude and service was not. I’ve worked in customer service and in a restaurant before. There is no way I would have ever treated customers like that. Especially working in the food industry. If someone brings food up to the counter I would quickly see what was wrong. I would have never had any customers having a poor attitude towards them and acting like they didn’t matter. The customer service outweighed the food and because of that we...
