Lash brow spa — Local services in Tacoma

I went in on 07.10 for a set of hybrid lashes. About three minutes away, a lady called and asked if I could come later as their tech was not there. I said no, I had plans the afternoon. So she said to come since I was so close and she would do my brows while I waited for the tech. I agreed. Please note I am as white as Casper the ghost with blonde hair and blue eyes. The lady greeted me and started threading my brows before putting a tint on them. She asked if I would like light, medium, or dark. I said light but no darker than medium. She had it sit for about seven minutes. The end result was brows that are too dark. And there was tint outside the brow shape. The lash tech came and she did a wonderful job- the lashes were beautiful. However, I had to go back in 07.19 for a fill (so not even two weeks later). The tech was very rough taking old lashes off. She had tape on my eyelids to hold them up I guess? I have only ever had tape on my lower lashes. However, the result of the tape pulling my eyelids up meant that glue was consistently getting in my eyes the whole appointment- a very uncomfortable 45 minutes. I sat for a few minutes with the fan before paying and leaving. I sat in my car for ten minutes simply because I couldn’t see with all the glue going in. It’s been 24 hours and I’ve already had a few lashes fall out. The ladies are nice, and the lashes look good on day one and two. However, the brow incident and this last time being so uncomfortable with the lashes made me not want to go back. UPDATE: just woke up one week post the refill that caused me so much pain (so 7.28). I am attaching a photo of how my lashes look. Per my morning routine, I wake up, and brushing my lashes is one of the first things I do. Extremely disappointed by how much have fallen out in a WEEK. Absolute waste of my time and money. The first set of lashes and disastrous brows were 186.60 plus tip. The first fill was 70.00 plus tip. So in less than a month, they’ve made more than 250.00 off of me and I have nothing to show for it. I have attached a picture of how I look first thing this morning with how my lashes look after a one week fill. They continuously fall out throughout the morning and before getting Lashes from these people three weeks ago I had very beautiful natural lashes, and I should’ve never walked into their salon because this is what I am left with. I came in for a wax on my face and neck as well as eyebrow threading. This was my second time coming. The first time I came the service was great and I was serviced by a very sweet Indian lady she was very nice , she even wiped my face down after the wax. The second time I came in on 5/14. I was coming in to give myself a birthday treat. On my initial vist I purschased a package, so when I returned I was expecting the same thing.

On this 2nd visit, I came in around 4ish close to 5. Another lady was there, she was a tall Indian lady. There were no customers when I came. She greets me and then the first thing she asked me is do "I want to renew my package". I said "no I'm not doing that today". We proceeded and I told her that I wanted my face waxed and eyebrows threaded. She starts to go in with the wax and she didn't even hold my skin taut, I ended up having to position my lips in the opposite direction of how she was pulling so my face wouldn't keep lifiting as she's wripping away.

Then she asked me 2x's if I wanted her to wax my neck and certain sections of my face and I told here I wanted my face (including chin) and neck waxed. Before she even started to wax my face, she was trying to thread it, again I said "wax". She went in on my eyebrows and barley did anything, she threaded them almost straight and not along the arch.

I could feel she was ready to go because when I walked in she said "I came at a perfect time because she was about to close the shop" before actual closing time it was slow, which I inderstand. I asked her could she wipe my face down after the wax residue, she handed me a small cotton pad with some hand saniter on it for "me" to wipe myself down. She asked me was everythig "ok" and, I said "yeah". I wanted to say something about my eyebrows but, she was ready to go, she had her things packed, so I didn't bother. My face however did come out hairless. I have one more package left and then after that, I don't think I'm returning. When I do return I hope the sweet Indian lady I had the first time is there to service me. She has a warm enerygy that's very inviting, that was one of main reasons I bought...

I don't typically write bad reviews, it's not my style. However, I was disrespected and upset enough that I felt the need to warn people. When I first wrote this review, I didn't have the time to process situation that happened. The owner tried to do a bate & switch scam on me. I found a good deal online for a Brazilian wax session, so I called and made an appointment. When I came in for my appointment, the reception lady at the front told me the owner would be arriving to do my appointment. (The owner was this tall woman, looks about mid 40s, of Indian descent, unsure of her name.) She told me to undress, she said it would take only 10min. She asked me how I heard about them, I told her about the deal I found online, after she found out that I got a deal for the wax session, she stepped out and waited until I was half naked on the table to tell me that "for Brazilian waxes, they charge full price for 1st time customers" and then she tried to back it up with because I had "a lot of hair." I said "no" because I already paid for the session online, she then denied me service and chuckled saying "I had too much hair" as I was putting my clothes on smh. So, on top of trying to scam me, she also bodyshamed me for having too much hair, HELLO THAT WHAT A BRAZILIAN WAX IS FOR. I should be embarrassed to write this review, but I don't care, it was a terrible experience for me. FYI Bait-and-switching is illegal and there wasn't a real reason for her to deny me service apart from the fact that she wanted more money for the wax session.
