My experience with this store was okay. However Macy's did not uphold their promise to me and for that they get a one star review and I will likely not purchase furniture anymore through them. Within the past 2 years I purchased a sectional sofa (Roxanne) as well as a love seat and a adjustable base beautyrest black mattress set. I also purchased the worrynomore protection plan for both sofas. The sales person who sold me both sofas told me that the protection plan will cover my furniture for 7 years and that I'm year 6 she personally took a sharpy marker to hers to get a brand new sofa. Since I have kids and pets I was sold because I needed something to fit with our lifestyle. In fact I also sent my mom to the store to buy all of her home furniture. My loveseat started to rip on the arm and I reported it immediately. They didn't cover it. I eventually threw my sofa out because the tear kept getting bigger and my couch was ruined.
With the sectional: I am more than frustrated which leads me to write this review so that those of you who are thinking of purchasing can be fairly warned. I hosted a children's birthday party and there was a coloring station. My sectional got extensively damaged due to a couple of the kiddos directly coloring on it. There were stick figures and scribbles all over. I sent in the claim the next day to worrynomore. They took over a month to tell me that they will not cover it because my coverage is for accidents and they consider this damage deliberate. I then took it to the store directly who told me that they will figure something out and they feel badly that I was treated so unfairly. They sent me higher up to a lady by the name of Sharon Walter who told me that she has grandchildren and it's not likely that small children can draw like that or spell words like "boo". She told me that they are only willing to offer 15% off of any show room purchase.
I'm buying my new home this year and will be filling all my home with brand new furniture from children's bedrooms to sofas and dining tables and master bedroom. Unfortunately, I will be searching out quality built furniture elsewhere because even though I love Macy's Furniture, they treat their guests unfairly and truly don't value their customers.
Also if you google "worrynomore reviews" or "Macy's consumer affairs" you will find that I'm not the only one who had been taken advantage of. They average at 1...
Read moreI have to STRONGLY recommend you NOT buy furniture from Macy’s Furniture and also avoid Macy’s Worry No More insurance plan. Why? Here is the short version. We bought a sectional couch in January of 2020 and paid extra for the Worry No More insurance. We were (initially) glad we did when our cat became ill and peed on two cushions. We immediately submitted the claim on July 16, 2020, which should have been very simple - ship us 2 new foam cores and cases for the damaged cushions. I write this review on February 15, 2021, 7 MONTHS LATER – we STILL do not have the cushions and cases. We have spent countless hours talking to Macy’s Furniture, talking to Worry No More – nothing comes. Wait several months and the wrong sized cushions with NO cases come. Call some more, sit on hold some more, hours and hours. Back and Forth. Promises made to correct their mistakes. Nothing comes. Honestly, if I were Macy’s I would have sent an entire replacement couch if I had to by now, as this has reached the point of embarrassment for Macy’s. We bought a 6-seat sectional, only 4 of which have been available for over seven months. We have bought many pieces of furniture over the years but after this experience we won’t be buying another thing. Don’t buy from Macy’s furniture. They no longer take care of their customers once the...
Read moreI bought my couch last year in October 2021. After many delays, I finally got it at the end of June. About 9 months later. But then 3-ish months later, one of the recliners already broke and not working, power switch went out. When I called to get it fixed, had to wait for someone to come out. That person then disconnected the other recliner and that didn't work. So I had to call and reschedule to have someone come back out and fix that too. Then Macy's Customer Service was supposed to call me and order replacement parts during my first visit and they never did. So I had repair guy do it for me on my their 2nd visit. Macy's said it's 6-8 weeks to even get the part, then I need to call to schedule to have someone come out and fix it. Then, they also told me the couch has been discontinued, so even if they wanted to replace a piece, they can't. So not only did I have to wait almost a year to get the couch. Then 3 months later it's broken and I have to wait 2 months to even get a part for it. Unbelievable! Everyone told me to go to Ashley Furniture or any of the hundreds of furniture stores out there, and now I really wish I would have. This is a horrible experience. And we really liked these couches, so it's a huge disappointment to have all...
