Sound Integrated Health — Local services in Tacoma

My Fiancé has struggled with addiction for 8 years and has been to many different places to help with MAT (medically assisted treatment) services. She has tried methadone at the health dept and they’re councilors we’re not understanding about her situation, she tried NW integrated health and Dr.Kahn made her cry every time he said he had no faith she would ever get sober and would have to depend on her parents for the rest of her life. At NW integrated, she was also a victim of medical malpractice during her intake when they gave her 5x the amount she was supposed to have on the first day she had even tried suboxone which sent her to the hospital to be monitored because of overdose. She lost faith for so long until she met Safe and Sound Integrated Health where she literally felt safe and sound at last. With a whopping 4 years of sobriety under her belt and with my 3 years wet we’re able to finally make a life of our own and got good paying jobs and our own apartment and we had a baby who is 1 now and her kids are so happy she is back to normal after being confused for so long as to why their mom was so sick and gone a lot. Now we are about to get a house and our dreams are coming true and it’s all because of this wonderful place and their understanding staff that has been our backbone and support adjusting our doses when we were going through stressful situations in our life in order to make sure we didn’t relapse. I can’t thank them enough for their love. They are so kind and respectful and bend over backwards for you to have the support you need to actually get sober and we appreciate everything they do. You are not required to do anything (like groups and councilling, although it is available and the councilors are superb!)other and suit up and show up for the appointments and they have always been understanding if I was late or showed up without my appt and saw me right away. Every place for addiction and recovery should learn from them!!!!!! They are doing everything right because they leave it up to the patient to be responsible for their own recovery without pressure! We love you guys! And thanks Roxanne for running the place so well. I always love it when you play ericka badu in your office. Good choice! Thank you guys for a life well lived...

The first time me and my roommate went there we found out it’s all virtual. You sit in a room and look at a computer screen. I sat in there and there were fingernails and toenails everywhere. Plus the lady named Florence was my person I saw and she was so rude and even was mad at my roommate to having an answer to a question she asked that I didn’t have the answer for. But I knew my friend did. This lady quit the practice then I got a new person who is also so rude. Saying he is open minded. He said that 10 times during our apt. I was asking for pills to stop cravings for substance use he said no I won’t give this. I also asked for antidepressants and which he denied also. The last thing I asked for was a form of non stimulant for of adderall for my adhd which he also denied. So I’m not seeing the point of going there. Me and my roommate both got in the car and before leaving we screamed at the top of our lungs. So frustrating. The guy even said if you were in my shoes what would you do. I replied if someone was in front of me asking for help and help for stop drugs who had previous suicide attempts then I would help them. He replied my opinion doesn’t matter because I have done drugs. But on top of all of this they were giving me an antipsychotic shot which I have discovered actually makes my symptoms worse and my drug of choice cancels the shot out. But still told me to go get it. So...

They keep canceling appointments without contacting me. I spent 5 months in jail with no conviction no trial and now pretty much my option is suicide cuz when my appointments get canceled with no notice my reaction ends up becoming the rationalization to deny me future services.

I've needed mental health services since LAST December but no matter how many times I do go to sound integrated I don't get actual services just intakes.

I have nothing to live for and although I would be able to get mental Healthcare else where the court is requiring that i use a company that does not actually supply me with any services other than have me call around trying to convince low income housing to accept me without knowing what kind of voucher I will eventually have to pay for said housing.

I've mentioned to just about anybody who will listen that I need my meds adjusted but that's not going to happen is it? No that would just be more waiting for more intakes.

Well it was worth a shot, but it's sound integrated or bust and I've been under there supposed since August. Not supposed to see the councilor for the first time till nov 22.

A part of me died when I went into solitary confinement over a misdemeanor trespassing charge.

I guess the rest of me just needs...
