The layout was appealing and everything was clean and tidy . The workers were friendly, helpful and informative. Great place to go if you need to rent temporarily or make small payments weekly or monthly . I shopped at the Thomasville Ga. Store ..EDIT....... since posting my review a few weeks have gone by and things are not as great as I once thought. I received a message from them that I needed to make a$50 payment by the next day so I did that. Then I found out that was only a weekly payment even though I signed up for monthly payments and had not changed that. When I rented my item I paid for the month up front so why they would bill me for a weekly payment I don't understand. When I was talking with the salesperson originally he was telling me the monthly payment amount and said if I wanted to change to weekly payments I could at any point just let them know but that was not my plan. The next message I got was that the payment was due again but the amount was allot higher than I was originally told it would be. The first month I paid approx $125 then the $50 weekly payment after they messaged me. When I went to pay another month the amount was $215. I told the salesperson that was not the amount we had agreed on. He pulled the paperwork out and showed where my b.f. had initialed and signed the paperwork with those amounts on it. He did not read the paperwork before signing(contract),! He just took the guy at his word! It feels like a scam they pull on allot of people. It almost felt scripted or rehursed. We paid for another week long enough to find one elsewhere and then we returned the item. The problem with that is by the time we paid the first month then 2 weeks payments that's half of what a brand new unit would cost from the manufacturer. It's convenient but...
   Read moreWhere do I start? When I first rented from Buddy's in 2017, I was given a fridge that wasn't operable. It took several weeks to get someone out to attempt to repair, once the tech arrived he advised that he couldn't do anything about it and that I needed to contact the store.....but went back to the store and told the staff that he fixed it. $500 later in me having to replace parts on the fridge myself, and zero concern from the store it's now repaired. My payment dates changed from bi-weekly to twice a month.....I would receive calls from the staff stating "they forgot to update it and would update it next time". This went on for several months to the point the staff thought it was a joke to them.
Going against everything I believed and wanting to give Buddy's another fair chance, I placed an order with Eric for bunk beds...âŚ..I stayed on the phone with Eric for quite a bit of time advising him of the specific bunk bed I wanted. It took three weeks to order...when it arrived (after being told they'd be there 3/9 before 12pm) after 2pm it was the incorrect style. They asked if I could keep it and began to get frustrated when I told them no. I thought for sure they'd call me on Monday to fix their mix-up. It's now 3/13 Wednesday and no one has reached out at all. I called today and spoke to a Marcus who jokingly advised that Eric was in a meeting and would call me 20-30 minutes later. It's now several hours later and no one has called. But when I say cancel the order, it's an issue. Unprofessional, rude, and arrogant briefly describe the team here. Then when you ask for a refund they will give you the run around and you will NEVER see the money ! They deliver the WRONG sized bed, took them days to correct it, their delivery drivers are inexperienced in installation so they damaged pieces of the bedroom set during installation. Did they offer a discount ? NOPE. THEY ASSURE YOU that your âone timeâ card will NOT be stored on file only to store it and try to run it atleast 5-6 times a day, even the card you used for a ONE TIME payment that they assured you would NOT be stored. If you fall behind a few days on your payment and call and make a commitment/promise to pay they do not honor it. They still call you 5-10 times a day, show up at your door and charge you for it. Nobody documents ANYTHING in their system. The owner is a fast talker and will tell you anything to get you off the phone and doesnât mean a word of it. If you rent from here KEEP YOUR CARD OFF & make your payments online. Iâm not sure when this company became dishonest as I used them 4-5 years ago but theyâve gone in the wrong direction.
