Brand new Philly Cheesesteak chain in Tamarac. A bit expensive, but it's steak, so what can you expect? Honestly, I really wish there was a Pepperjax Grill in South Florida, but alas, I must settle for Charley's. Before this visit, I'd only been to the ones in airports and mall courts.
The staff at this one is new, but they're doing a great job. They are friendly and patient. The cooks let you stand there and watch them, which is always entertaining.
I've only ever gotten the cheesesteak and fries. The fries aren't very good. I usually come here while my wife grabs chick-fil-a. Next time I'll have her get me fries from there when I get a sandwich.
One of the weird things is the abundance of cold toppings you can put on it. They put the hot food on one side and the cold toppings on the other so they don't mix. Smart. It's like they've done this before.
The price is the only thing that will keep me from visiting...
Read moreThis location has 2 versions of staffing. I walked in today and knew I should have walked out. The yound lady at the register was pretty good, she should have been in charge/directing the 2 other younger employees who evidently have no kind of work ethic, struggle to multi-task and frankly seemed to struggle with thinking of what to do next. I waited almost 30 mins for my usual. Sandwich was still thrown in, they did not clean the grill before making my food, the cashier had to keep reminding them to make my food right. Either they can't read or can not manage to remember to put cheese on fries. ... on a good day when the staffing is an older more mature staff, your food is great! Made with care, they assist the younger ones who can take criticism. Today, they were just trash-tastic! Beware when you walk in. One star for the inconsistency always. Just hire good people who would prepare someone else food as if it...
Read moreThis was a very disappointing day. I typically love Charleys. I gave them two stars because the workers were friendly and the lemonade was amazing. Now, here’s went wrong. All three phillys were made incorrectly. First philly was supposed to be plain. It had lettuce tomato onions and Mayo—none of which my son eats on his sandwich. Second philly was almost correct but they added teriyaki sauce and pickles.. my brother does not eat anything that tastes sweet and his allergic to pickles. I think they confused the wing sauce with a sandwich add-on. My sandwich was almost made correctly— just wanted Mayo and extra mushrooms…there were no mushrooms on the sandwich. I ordered blue cheese with my wings —not in the bag. Asked for straws and I was told they were in the bag. 4 drinks…2 straws. The icing on the cake was the huge strand of hair in my brothers fries and my sandwich! $70 dollars for an...
