We walked in at 12 and asked for the basic acrylic set. They told us come back in a couple hours and we did. They set our appointment for 2pm, we came back on time, and they still made us wait over half an hour. We confirmed when we first came in, when we came back, and just before we started that we wanted the basic set and what the price would be. Both of our techs stopped multiple times for personal conversations and took forever to do our nails. They messed up the acrylic and my friend had to get hers redone; she didn't get finished until just before I did the first time around and she started almost an hour before me. When my tech finally finished, they charged me almost double the price they said it would be even though the price had been confirmed three times before they started and I specifically asked for the basic set all three times. I picked out my nail color from the non-gel section twice. But they still charged the gel price because they switched my polish at the last minute. I called and asked to speak to the manager and the guy told me they would have to soak off the set and could refund me $60 and I have witnesses because I had him on speakerphone when he said it. I come back inside and the tech was trying to argue me down about giving me only $5 back. She used the electric file to take off the polish which made the nails look even more raggedy than they already did. They never gave me a refund. They also added on all these sneaky little fees that I've never heard of at a salon. We can see what the prices are and specifically asked for the basic set three times before they even started. Our nails look a mess, I've had $7 press-ons that look more professional. In total they wasted almost 4 hours of our time, we were there from just before 2pm and didn't leave until 5:30 pm and they charged us almost double what we asked to get, and the quality is even worth one-third of this. Read moreI want to start off by saying, I don’t take reviews lightly, and as a business owner myself, I often times don’t like to judge because people do have bad days. I know what its like to be on the other side, as someone in the beauty industry. I also waited a week to “think” about it so I wasn’t emotionally reactive. I have been to Nail Kingdom twice now and unfortunately both times I had Alan do my nails. The first time, it wasn’t terrible but his attitude and flat out rudeness I just thought maybe he was having a rough day. The second time (last week) was no different. I have NEVER experienced anything like it in my life and it made me EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I have multiple nails that are severely crooked and some of them are square and some are “coffin” shape as he suggested. He acts so impatient with you and acts as if you are inconveniencing him. The girl sitting next to Alan was also incredibly rude to her client and she had a question about her nail and the tech snapped back rudely “I’m not DONE!”. It seems there are some good techs in there and its a shame because someone like him can affect their business. It is also unfortunate bc I had a pedicure by Andy and it was one of the best pedicures Ive ever had. I have used her before the last three times and when I looked At the chart and decided on a color she said you have asked for that color the last three times I keep telling you we don’t have it. so I chose a completely different color when I went to check out a different technician asked how I was paying I said cash, and then I took out some money for a tip, and the cashier said why are you not giving her more? Are you not happy with her service? I said she has been rude of us several times, but she was the only one available. She said, but you spend a lot of money getting your nails done and you don’t tip a lot. I thought that was way out of line. She does not know my Life. I spoke to the manager and told him what happened. agreed or said, he agreed that it was rude of the cashier.
