If Google would allow me to give 0 stars, I would. I may NEVER forgive the staff for almost ruining one of the most important days of my life, my own wedding day. Luckily the staff and store manager at a Chicago Men's Wearhouse located on Clybourn avenue saved the day. Look for a 5 star review by me dated 8/12/24 with photo proof of the staff that helped me. Don't let this 1 star review be the reason you swear off Men's Wearhouse as a whole, amazing people in this organization exist.
Anyone who knows me knows I am NOT a "Karen". I have received horrible service from so many companies, restaurants, stores, etc and never once have I pulled the "I demand to speak to your manager". I feel sick to my stomach just typing this review out.
I have visited this store a total a 5 times. First time was to create the wedding tuxedo rental group, 2nd time was get measured, unsuccessfully, 3rd time was when I was finally able to get an associate to acknowledge my existence and take my measurements, 4th time was when I was scheduled to pick up my tuxedo before my flight to Chicago for my wedding destination, only to find out my Tuxedo did NOT arrive on time. 5th and final time I will ever be setting foot in this store was when I returned the tuxedo that almost didn't make it to the church on my wedding day.
The staff here did an amazing job at making me feel like I was not worth their time. My wife pointed out how odd it was that the staff here would wait 15 minutes to even acknowledge my presence. This was not just on 1 occasion, but each of the 5 times I went into this store. I brushed it off each time as "Well perhaps they are just busy, I worked retail when I was in college, I know what it's like."
The day I was scheduled to pick up my Tuxedo (Tuesday, 8/6/24) I was greeted with a sign that said "Congratulations to the following wedding Parties this week", with my name spelled incorrectly. My name is Javier Valentin, when I created the rental group, I did it under "Javier Valentin", I had mentioned to the staff at this location multiple times to have my name corrected. When I arrived and saw the sign pictured below, I found my name was spelled "Javier Valentine".
In the words of the late great Dale Carnegie "A person's name is to that person, the sweetest, most important sound in any language." This staff made NO effort to make this correction. It is a great metaphor to how little they valued me as a customer, but also how little respect they had for me as a human.
I brushed it off and even told the gentlemen at the register "Oops, you spelled my name wrong again, it's okay". When I was told my Tuxedo did not arrive on time, I did not go into full on "Karen" mode. I let the staff know "No worries, that's why I chose you guys (Men's wearhouse) so that if this happened I could pick up a Tuxedo in Chicago." I was polite, I smiled, and I let them know it was not going to be a big deal.
I requested that a 2nd order be made to the Chicago Clybourn location, I also requested that they did NOT try and overnight air-freight the tuxedo that was running late (1st order), I would have my sister in law pick it up for me
The next day, Wednesday (8/7/24), when my sister in law went to pick up the Tuxedo from here, they could not find any record of it, they even asked my sister inlaw if I went by the name "Gustavo". I attribute this to the fact that they probably still had my name which is "Javier Valentin" spelled incorrectly in their system as "Javier Valentine". For the next 36 hours, I had NO idea the status of my Tuxedo, or if it would arrive in time in Chicago for my wedding Saturday 8/10/24. Luckily the staff at the Chicago Clybourn store were able to step in and resolve the issue.
My advice to the store manager and staff here, take some lessons from the store manager at the Chicago Clybourn store on how to run your business and...
Read moreFrom the moment I walked through the doors of Men’s Wearhouse in Tampa, I felt like I had stepped into a different league of customer service and professionalism. I’ve shopped at plenty of men’s clothing stores over the years, but nothing compares to the experience here.
The staff didn’t just greet me, they welcomed me like family. Within minutes, they had already sized up what I was looking for and made tailored recommendations that perfectly matched my style and budget. Their knowledge about fabrics, fits, and current trends was nothing short of impressive, and they took the time to explain every detail.
The fitting process was seamless, literally. I’ve never had a suit fit me so perfectly. The tailoring team is top-notch, with an incredible eye for detail. Every adjustment, every stitch felt customized to me, and they delivered everything ahead of schedule. I truly felt like I was wearing a suit made for royalty.
Beyond the clothing, it’s the atmosphere that makes this location exceptional. The store is spotless, beautifully organized, and well-stocked with options for any occasion: weddings, business, casual, you name it. They have an ability to take what could be an overwhelming process and make it enjoyable, efficient, and fun.
What really stood out was how invested the team was in making sure I left not just with clothes, but with confidence. I walked out looking sharp, but more importantly, I felt it. That’s a rare thing to get from a shopping trip, and it’s why this Tampa Men’s Wearhouse will be my go-to spot from here on out.
If you’re in Tampa and need anything from a sharp everyday look to a show-stopping suit for a special event, don’t think twice. This place is the definition of five-star service. They don’t just sell clothes, they deliver confidence, class, and care at the highest level.
Men’s Wearhouse Tampa isn’t just a store. It’s an experience. Bravo to the entire team for setting the...
Read moreIf I could give them 0 stars...! Apparently we were not the first and it looks like we won’t be the last! If you all read the 1 star comments I will confirm that this is for real!! To the owner or whoever responds to these reviews ( I hope it’s not the store manager) I will say this:
It’s nice of you taking the time to respond to positive and negative reviews BUT you should be worry about the negative reviews! SAME REVIEWS, ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE! We were waiting for 20 minutes for a sales associate to at LEAST say “hello” to us. They were walking by us like we were completely invisible!!! NEVER in my life I had that experience before. Please do not respond to my review with a *“ we try hard to provide with the best support blah blah blah” ( OBVIOUSLY you’re not, many complaints at different times and still SAME/ 0 customer service) *“we’d like to better understand what happened blah blah( SERIOUSLY?? The customers are complaining that their been COMPLETELY IGNORED when they walk in and they are waiting for someone to assist them!! What else do you need to know? Isn’t this enough? *And NO I will not email you! It’s not rocket science. I mean really what other detail do you need to know? TRAIN YOUR STAFF starting with the basics: we say hello, how can we help you today? You do not need a college degree. It’s...
