The best Korean food I've ever had!! Which isn't much, really.. but still very tasty.

Expect to wait atound 30 minutes or more to be seated on a Friday or Saturday night.

Service is lacking. A dish that should have come out steaming hot with a side of rice ended up coming out warm with no rice. So I waited patiently for several minutes, thinking they would bring it out soon.. Usually, I try not to fuss about little things at restaurants, but the food was getting cold, so I had to flag down the server to ask for the rice. Who was busy at another table and just yelled across the dining area to the kitchen to bring a rice.. I was embarrassed by the attention it caused. Another table over, a larger group of patrons, one of whom ordered the same dish long after I ordered mine, got their order steaming hot with the rice, within minutes of me receiving my rice. I know a smaller table typically means a smaller tip, but I shouldn't be treated as an afterthought because my being a patron is of less monetary value than that of a larger group. I still tipped 20%, but I dont feel it was earned or deserved. I hope that I'm wrong about the service, but it has bothered me since dining in. Perhaps next time, I'll just order to go and skip the potential frustration & embarrassment.

The restaurant looks like it was a house converted into a strange layout restaurant.

The bathrooms are a kinda iffy.

The restaurant is not clean. There is dim lighting, making it more difficult to notice. I just try not to look too hard.

The parking lot is mostly gravel and broken pavement with some sandy grassy spots.

Despite it being a real "Dive," the food is...

We are regular customers here and love their food. However, I've had the WORST service today. I was sat in the back room and I was not checked on regularly. My chopsticks broke and needed a refill after my appetizer got there. So I sat there and waited for someone to come so I can get another chopsticks and refill. I must have waited 10 minutes before someone came. I ordered total of 1 appetizer and 2 entrees but was only given 1 rice. I was out of refills but my server did not come back so I asked another server for a refill and boxes to take my food to go. The server came back with boxes but no refill. So I asked for refill again, so she came back with half cup of a drink. After my server finally came back, I asked for refill again and side dishes that needed refill. Then she came back with the wrong side dishes and water instead of the drink I ordered. Finally, she brought me a check that showed one amount. But since I ordered 2 entrees, I asked for another rice. I realized after the fact she charged me $2.50 plus tax for an additional rice without telling me (AFTER she already showed me the check for a different amount). So I got charged a different amount then the amount that was on my check (the one she showed me). I am not sure if they do this on a regular basis or if they do this to get extra money from the customer; but what she did was ABSOLUTELY WRONG. The service today would have been negative stars but obviously I cannot just rate based on service and cannot give negative stars, hence the 1 star. Very frustrating experience. I'm not sure if I will go back...

This place food-wise is a decent place. We ordered two stews, one bibimbap, one jjangppong and one jjajangmyeon. The food besides the jjajangmyeon tasted great! It was full of flavor and was seasoned decently. However, the jjajangmyeon disappointed us all. The jjajangmyeon had close to no seasoning with a strong bitter aftertaste. They held accountability by removing the item from the check.

One thing to note of beforehand is the force they put into the exploitive methods showing how predatory and greedy nature. When given check, they proceeded to say “the tip has been included” which I’ve heard to be 15%. However this was wrong. The tip that was included was 18% without including tax.

At the time I visited, it was bustling after around ~20 minutes it was filled to the brim with customers. This lead to slow service of such things including refills of water (where one request was denied) as well as the delayed and willfully ignorant employees.

In the end, I would like to summarize. Although most of the food is alright, their service may depend on time of day. Do not expect full accountability as well as the confirmation of taste—which is not guaranteed at all—but overall it was a quieter atmosphere and laid-back… until dinner time.

TLDR: Food, not so terrible. Service, alright....

One of the oldest Korean restaurants in Tampa Bay that is still going strong. Now, referred to online as 사리원 Sarione Cypress, this OG spot has a unique location in an old renovated house. The main room dining area is made of handmade wooden booths, definitely a vibe. Before you ask: Yes, I've been to every Korean restaurant in Tampa Bay. Featured in reel: 1️⃣ Iced Barley Tea 🌾 2️⃣ 반찬 Complimentary side dishes with some entrees. Make sure to ask your server what dishes include banchan because they are wonderful. 3️⃣ 감자야채전 Gam Ja Ya Chae Joun - Potato Pancake 🥔 so good! 4️⃣ Yook Gae Jang 육계장 - red, but not spicy shredded beef stew. Served with rice and banchan. 🥣 5️⃣ Boneless Spicy Chicken, it's very crispy, but doesn't have much flavor, so I like to eat it with a bite of kimchi. 🔖SAVE for later 🔖 💞 Follow for more 📸 ALL content by @yummycoty 🐾 NEVER sponsored/hosted ✅️ Yummycoty vibe checked 📍 Sarione Korean Restaurant, 3940 W Cypress St, Tampa, FL 33607 #tampainfluencer #tampablogger #floridafoodie #floridafoodies #yelptampabay #tampafood #tampaeats #tampafoodblog #tampafoodies #tampafoodguide #tampaguide #tampabayfoodies #tampabayeats #tampabayfood #thingstodointampa #tampabay #tampa #tampafl #tampaflorida #japanesefood #ramen #izakaya #anime #tampafoodie #hotpot #manga #stufftodointampa #thingstodointampabay #noodles #tampatok #foodtok
