I have always enjoyed shopping at this store but I had such a negative experience this past weekend that I will never return. On Saturday I found a shirt I wanted to buy for Christmas, so I went to the register with my items to pay. To my surprise, this shirt was missing a price tag. I understand the store has a policy that they canât sell an item with a missing price until the next day, so I asked if they could hold it until I came back tomorrow. The cashier said no. I asked if there was any way they could have someone price it on the spot, since it wasnât possible to hold it. The cashier said no and got her manager, a man who was really rude and short with me. I was simply asking if there was anything that could be done to accommodate me, the customer, who was attempting to buy an item. Finally the manager agreed to hold the shirt for me, but for some reason it wouldnât be priced until Tuesday and Iâd have to pick it up before noon. I meant to ask my husband what day of the month Tuesday was, as in the numeric date. I accidentally said âWhat day of the week is Tuesday?â The manager was quick to nastily quip, âItâs Tuesdayyyyyâ Like I was a moron.
I understand some bad apples must have tampered with the price tags and that is why this policy is in place, but customer service should still be given to the extent that retail employees are polite and helpful to the customer. I was perfectly polite and understanding throughout the process, and made every effort to work with their policies. But I was not treated politely and the employees clearly did not want to help me. That is literally the bare minimum I expected and they failed to deliver. Instead they were nasty, rude, and resentful.
They should have people on staff who can price items every day they are open. Tags fall off and it doesnât mean someone is trying to get one over on the store. Guess how much the shirt wound up costing? $3.45! I would have happily paid more if they had offered me to buy it on Saturday, as it would have been more convenient for me, but instead I had to come back and they got their $3.45. But with their attitudes, and the way the situation was handled, they wonât see another dollar of my money since apparently itâs such a hassle and...
Read moreHonestly disappointed in the staff experience here. I interacted with staff twice and both times I was let down.
While shopping in womenâs jackets a short dark haired women approached me and started berating me about putting the clothes back on hangers. I did notice things laid over the racks but this was the way it was before I entered the area. She left and came back multiple times to continue letting out her frustration on me as she cleaned up the area. Iâve worked retail before and I understand that its annoying but I also understand that itâs part of the job. (I see someone else mentioned her being rude 2 weeks prior as well)
At checkout the cashier accidentally removed the tag from a jacket and after they accidentally removed it they refused to sell me the item. Afterward they continuously pointed to an over head sign directing my eyes to rule number 2. I understand that the rule states no sales on items without tags to prevent tag swapping but common, when you accidentally remove it and you can read on the tag that the description matches the item it gets a little redundant. Also I spent 70$ in the store why would I tag swap a 5$ jacket?
Stores like this are great especially when you try to be mindful of waste but for a couple extra dollars you can go and be treated like a valued customer not a nuisance.
Only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is I did find 70$ worth of stuff. But even with that I...
Read moreI'm so disappointed that I bought 2 toys that cost $5 each. One is battery operated and the policy states make sure to inspect everything carefully, well I couldn't check if it worked because it was completely taped up so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and purchased it anyways.I bought batteries and nope it does not work. The other was dinosaurs that you build together, again I could not possibly thoroughly inspect it bc again it was completely taped up. I came home and my 3 year old was so excited to build it but it was missing all of the pieces and there where NO screws to even try and build one dinosaur. I'm so upset that I just spent $10+ tax and now I can't even exchange it. I should have just bought something off of Amazon for $10 but I personally enjoy shopping at thrift stores to give back.
I tried to call to explain the situation and I cannot get through to anyone bc it's just an automated system. I would have to get in my car and some how hope they can let me exchange it for something else. But once I got on their website they have in big capital letters NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES PERIOD. Thoroughly inspect your items. So, why would I waste my gas to just be told that in person. It's upsetting people who work there even allow for those toys to be sold and especially...
