I was seated with the restaurant being not even half full. I had called ahead to see if they were busy because I needed to get some work done while I ate. After being seated I waited about 8 minutes without being greeted by anyone. Mind you all 5 tables around me were empty and it was 10:10 am today 8/29/18 so it wasn't like people were rushing to get off. They had 2 host working a male and a female. After being there 10 min which I didn't mind as much because I had begun to do my work 2 ladies were sat outside right next to the window where I was sitting. In less than a minute they were greeted and had their drink order taken. I slowly packed up my computer back into my briefcase put all of my stuff away and proceeded to the door. As I left I said thank you to both host and they told me to have a nice day. Remember they had just talked to me on the phone and sat me less than 15 min prior. This place obviously doesn't have it's training and management in order. The communication between the staff is the poorest i've seen in a long time. The fact that they just let me leave just shows the "I don't care mentality" I live less than a mile away and was hoping to make this my new breakfast spot since they do have a delicious looking menu. Unfortunately, I won't have that opportunity as they cannot and will not earn my business back. South Tampa has so many local places I'd rather support local anyway than a new chain that can't seem to get it right. If you know me you know I have been in the business for 21 years. For myself and on behalf of Tampa Bay Area Restaurants my business we advise you to keep...
Read moreWe started off with Spiked Cold brew, which I had the Salted Caramel cold brew. They used "a mixture" for their cold brew but the jug said low fat chocolate milk and it tasted like low fat chocolate milk... Not cold brew!
Two tables around us that ordered well after us got their food several minutes before us. We hadn't even gotten the beignets yet but finally got our brunch. My lobster and brie omelette was definitely not warm and they didn't peel the rind from the Brie. It tasted great just would have been better if it were warm.
My girlfriend ordered the smoked salmon Benedict and it had been sitting so long the eggs were coagulated (gelled). When the server came out and asked how everything was, we pointed out how bad the eggs looked and how it was cold and got the manager to come by who graciously made her a new Benedict which came out very quick and would have made the experience much better; however, the bagel was so hard the steak knife had trouble cutting through it. She ate the toppings and couldn't get through the bagel enough to make it edible.
Our server (Cassandra) and the manager were fantastic. The kitchen staff should do better with sending things out that they wouldn't eat. The restaurant could also greatly benefit from having food runners. The cold brew spiked coffee should be cold brew coffee and not a milk mixture as that could be detrimental to someone if they were lactose intolerant and not expecting chocolate milk!
I usually leave great reviews, so it pains me to leave a negative review! I'm hoping they can make some better changes as it wouldn't have taken much to...
Read moreshe blamed a 45 min wait for food on the burger
When we arrived, we sat outside and there was only 1 other table seated which was a larger party so we thought this would be a quick and easy breakfast. Once we were situated we ordered a kids meal for my daughter first to get her food sooner so we can look at the menu.
Our waitress came with the kids meal and asked if we were ready to order. We placed our order. We ordered the Benedict burger and the eggs black stone Benedict and strawberry French toast. The patio was getting fuller and it seemed the waitress was getting overwhelmed and we saw our waitress less and less. Our 2 items took over 45 minutes to come to us. 45 MINUTES, that’s after I had asked how long our order was going to take and while our waitress was “avoiding us”. Other tables that were sat around us received their food before we did. When our food FINALLY arrived 45 min later, she blamed it on the burger and said the burger took forever (but never once an apology on the delay).
We go to take a bite of our food and the burger is OVERCOOKED like grey overcooked. The Benedict had raw whites. Our order was forgotten and the waitress tried to get it expedited and when she did they left the food inedible. I sent the Benedict back and asked for it to be taken off because I cannot eat raw whites. My husband left his entire burger also. again not a single apology about anything. Absolutely...
