Tampa Buffet — Restaurant in Tampa

So I want to start off by saying that I've been going to this location since I was a little girl. I loved this location so much, the food used to be so flavorful and there was always a great selection/service. I have decided that tonight will be the last night I step foot in here. The food quality hasn't been the same in over 4-5 years. I've continued to come back because I recognized staff and was used to this location already. We came in around 6:30pm and the food was bland, cold and tasted at least 2-3 days old. I had to pour sauces from other dishes on top of my noodles and rice to get any kind of moisture and flavor I possibly could. Surprisingly enough, that wasn't what made me decide to not come here again. The problem came when it was time to leave. I had asked for two boxes to take food home and let the waitress know we were wanting to leave now. She went and got out check and my fiance signed off on it. We decided not to leave a tip because our bill, for three people, came out to about 81 dollars and we really didn't think for the quality of food we got, that a tip was called for. When I handed the waitress the signed receipt, she said "Tip?" and handed it back to us and waited there for us to put a tip. She refused to take it until we put down a tip. I have never been so uncomfortable in an establishment than I was in that moment. It made the whole party of us feel very uncomfortable and like we had no choice but to tip. I left her a 2 dollar tip and left without making a scene. Just said thank you for the service. I was so uncomfortable that I didn't even stop to talk to the boss up from because she was busy talking to a cop about god knows what. If l could give a negative number it would get the lowest number possible! In all my years l have NEVER been to a place as disgusting as this. Any reviews over 1 boggle my mind. Also as a point l was there at 11:30 am so they were only open 30 mins all items should be fresh! 1st- tables have a hard plexiglass cover with a table cloth underneath. The table l was at and the few around me had stains and food under the plexiglass and looked like they hadn't been washed in years. 2nd- food was terrible! General Tso's chicken looked good but was hard as a rock. Fried dumplings, the sauce container in the pan was almost empty and the ladle in it had a bit of sauce in it that was jelled over. What was in pan was like soy sauce but what was in ladle was jellied. Egg rolls were not fresh, more like the frozen mushy ones you buy at the grocery store nd try to cooked at home. 3rd- Went to mens room to wash up. Mens room had foul smell. Saw they had two fancy urinals on the wall with no handle or button to flush. Must have been about 6 inches of urine in the urinal, hence the smell. 4th- There was a worker in the mens room and he was spraying air freshener like spray paint over the entire area. Walls, sinks, urinals, faucets so everything had a light greasy coating of air freshener on it to mask the urine smell. All in all.... there should be crime scene tap at the entrance and a sign that states "Enter at Your Own Risk"!

After not being able to wash because of the coating of air freshener over everything, l started wondering if l needed to go get a tetanus shot! It is amazing to me that this place is even open and hasn't been shut down by the Board of Health!

BUTT CRACK FOOD HANDLES

I know they can't control the customers, but when I privately alert the staff to a customer who is repeatedly touching his butt crack, pulling his pants up, at the buffet, I should have been treated better. I should have walked out but I said I would pay for half since I ate half a plate and so I could leave a tip. The girl up front with purple hair was very rude to me and wouldn't let me talk to management. She offered 10% and I again thought half was fair due to the situation so I asked for more. She walked away came back without management again and offer 20% I said sure and left a $3 tip. As I was walking out she told me to never come back. What did I do? I've been here more times than I can count and I was being discreet with my concerns and request. They are lucky that I didn't announce to the whole restaurant considering I'm sure they didn't clean the handles. Don't worry about me returning, I'll never go here again.
