The Hungry Greek — Restaurant in Tampa

We placed an order to good. We were told 20 minutes for pickup. Took me 15 minutes to get there. Then waited 15 minutes more and watched the chaos of the workers not knowing what food was going out or going to tables. Did not look like they did any training for the workers. I felt bad for the manager, as he struggled and apologized 3 times to me for the delay. All the employees looked like deer in headlights I can't take away from them that the food was delicious. I will go back, because my Chicken Pita was amazing. I asked for the chicken to be cooked well and it was grilled so it was very tasty. The Taziki sauce needs a light bit for flavor. Did not have a kick to it. Again, the food was great especially the Spinach pie. GET IT TOGETHER GUYS, BE BACK SOON. I ONLY GIVE A 2ND CHANCE, NO 3RD Made Another trip back. Trying to get a better experience. Only this time it was even worse. My chicken pita which I asked for no onions because I cannot eat them. Had onions on it. My partner asked the girl handling the order to remake it and she just pulled the onions off the existing chicken pita and then gave him attitude looking at him. The Hungry Greek is a fantastic spot for delicious and authentic Greek food! From the moment I walked in, the clean and welcoming atmosphere made a great first impression. The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient, ensuring we had everything we needed.

The food was absolutely amazing. I ordered the Gyro Pita, which was perfectly seasoned and filled with tender, juicy meat, crisp vegetables, and a generous dollop of creamy tzatziki. The portion sizes were more than satisfying, offering excellent value for the price. I also couldn’t resist trying the baklava for dessert—it was sweet, flaky, and absolutely delightful!

What I appreciated most was the variety on the menu, including plenty of gluten-free options, all clearly marked. It’s clear the restaurant cares about accommodating different dietary needs without sacrificing flavor.
