My husband and I frequent Buffalo Wild Wings During the football season. Although we're not from Tampa we were down here for work and we decided that we wanted to stop in to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch a game and have some dinner with some family we were visiting. From the moment we walked in it was very apparent that we were not necessarily welcomed. Once we were asked how many were with our party we were then escorted to a booth right next to the restrooms. This was kind of odd simply because we passed a bunch of empty booths along the way. We asked the host if she would be willing to seat us in a booth closer up front more specifically booth #85. She paused and hesitated but then said well I'm sorry but we're trying to shut that section down. We thought OK not much she can do about that as a hostess so we'll just take whatever seat we're given. It took about 8 or 9 minutes after being seated to then be acknowledged by someone who we naively thought was going to be our server. Instead it was a young gentleman who told us that we cannot dine inside and that we're going to have to be moved outside. This was due to our little dog companion we had traveling with us. She was in a storller, zipped up and completely contained. I'll be honest we all looked a bit puzzled, not because it's their policy to not have animals in the building which makes perfect sense but that it took almost 9 minutes for someone to come and acknowledge us and the first thing that was said to us was "I'm sorry but you cannot dine in here, my manager said dogs aren't allowed in he building, so you will have to go outside to eat". So although that was a bit frustrating we didn't contest we went ahead and went outside and found a table to sit. We sat there waiting for about another 10 minutes and then someone finally acknowledged us. Menues were brought and our orders were placed. 30mins go by, I'd say that is a typically wait time at BWW for food. During this time we noticed people were seated inside in the booth area that we had initially requested to be seated in, not super relevant but we took notice because we recall being told we cant sit there because that section was being shut down. Our servers shift was ending and he said we will be taken care of by a different server, her name is Kaylee. We have zero complaints about her, she was attentive and smiled and actually made eye contact. Moving on, so our food arrives and no exaggeration, a blind person could see the food was not fresh. The wings were dry and cold and the fries were stale and shriveled. We said to Kaylee, we are sorry but we can't accept this, we need freshly made food. Kaylee understood and we got a new round of food. For the expectation of the fries, the food was still not freshly made but atleast it was hot. We paid for our food and my husband went to the bar ( still outide )to watch the last 10mins of the game. My mom and I went across the street to dunkin donuts to grab a cup of coffee. We came back to the patio area and we didn't even sit down, we were standing and the bar tender asked if we needed anything we said no thank you. Then a manager was summoned ( Megan) to tell us that we can't have outside drinks. I pointed to our table and said " hey we just finished up dinner here ( our table still not cleared off) we just catching the last few minutes of the game". She said "I understand that but we cant allow outside drinks, it's for our safety because we aren't sure what is in your cups". Seriously? Its just coffe from acriss the street. We didn't put up a fight, we left and we stood outside the patio door to watch the rest of the game. It was...
Read moreI've been here 4 times and each time was more disappointing than the last. My first experience was ok: food was average but good and way too overpriced; the service was average as well. Second time the girl who took our order rarely refreshed our drinks, told us there was a miscommunication and our food would be out in about 5 minutes. 20 minutes later she brings almost all of it. The cheesecake bites we ordered were...indescribably horrible. The texture fell apart when we picked them up and there was hardly anything in them. It was basically expensive fried sugar. The third time was much like the first so nothing memorable. This fourth however!! I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK.
I don't even know where to start. Wait. Yes I do. First, our waitress had a terrible attitude. I realize my group did come in late but we had just gotten off work (we work in the food industry) so we kept our orders simple: waters for everyone but me, which I ordered an alcoholic beverage. Just wings and some appetizers. It took 45 minutes for our food to come out, even though we only ordered appetizers. The waitress said the last call for alcohol was 12:45. It was only 12:30 so I asked if I could order 3 more so that way she wouldn't have to keep going back. She pursed her lips and said curtly, "No." Figuring that maybe it was because I was with underage people I asked for just one more and she said, again rudely, "only if you suck that one down." So I did. She brought another one a few minutes later and must have overheard my friends asking why I was taking that from her and her bad attitude because she asked if I wanted another one even though it was past last call. I said sure and WHILE I AM STILL DRINKING - as in lips on the straw drinking - as fast as I can to give her the glass SHE PUTS HER HAND AROUND IT AND TAKES IT FROM ME. We all just sat stunned for a minute. We had 8 people in our group so lucky for her because the automatic gratuity was the only tip she got. She lost mine from her first answer. She could have recovered but taking my glass while my lips were still on it sealed the deal for all of us otherwise she would not have gotten any tip. I'm coming to your establishment and paying good money and that's the kind of staff you employ??? The food is average and the prices are a joke. You could at least hire people with manners...
Read moreAs expected, BWW always has a plethora of available screens to showcase the sports of the day while enjoying your meal, a few drinks, and bantering amongst other sports fans. However, just do not expect that scene/vibe at this location on Halloween. I specifically went to BWWs after leaving the golf course to eat and watch sports until Game 4 of the World Series started. Unfortunately, the terrible customer service from the shift manager overshadowed the kindness exhibited by the bartender and waitress. After I watched a rerun of a Saturday football game for 10 minutes, I asked the waitress could she turn the TV to the golf channel so I could watch the live college tournament. She did make every effort to and accomplished the task after another 15 minutes. But, not only did the content change on the TV I was focusing on, several TVs were changed to Casper the friendly Ghost with the audio broadcasted throughout the establishment. After listening for 10 minutes, I asked if the sound could be aligned to any sports-related TV. The staff did turn the sound to a sport news show but was soon thereafter instructed by the day-shift manager to turn the sound back from sports to a children Halloween movie. This is a sports bar!! And…no kids were present. Upon my inquiry… Waitress responded: "She's a Halloween fan so that's why the TVs are on the Halloween movie". So yes, a discussion was had with the manager to attempt understanding why I was not able to watch and listen to sports-related content on a late Tuesday afternoon. She was very abrupt & dismissive and informed me that golf wasn’t relevant enough to listen to and continued to say - “TVs sound will change to sports when the 8pm game comes on…nothing good is on until then.” It's 530pm and those that are here want to watch sports and have fun. The day manager (Oct 31) definitely isn't adhering to the 5 BBW values. I’m confused…does the establishment aim to provide an environment that is welcoming and adjustable to the desires of the paying customers? Or, does the desire management trump the customer?
To add insult to injury, there is no reason the food should have been mediocre (dry wings and overcooked wedges) during a...
