The business and attendant were helpful and fulfilled their promises. Like the website says, know this location is on the Riverwalk and not really observable from your car. You must park nearby for as much as $30 or more depending on demand, so allow ample time to find parking at an acceptable rate then walk to and find the location. The site is at water level next to the S. Harbor Island Blvd. Bridge and adjacent to the Tampa Marriott, itself on the west side of the JW Marriott. Your immediate rowing is along busy but respectful river and channel traffic and concrete-lined banks often tagged by college rowing crews. You are the smallest craft but will be safe if you stick to the right areas. You are able to avoid the traffic compression going under the bridges by sticking to the narrow periphery channels. We were an hour late to our reservation (after having to be rerouted around a parade), and they still let us paddle boarding! Kevin (our rental attendant) was fabulous. He took care of our things for us, gave us brief instructions, and helped us to easily dock after I was having some issues navigating the paddle boarding. He was also especially helpful over the phone providing directions, and reassuring us we would still be able to paddle boarding despite the unforseen traffic jams. He even offered to reschedule our reservation for a different day due to our arrival being closer to the closing window and only allowing for 30 minutes of paddle boarding (which was all we really desired anyhow).
