Changing my review to one star. Unfortunately today I had the same experience as the other recent reviews. This was my favorite Platoās, and Iāve been coming here a lot to replace my closet on a budget since losing a lot of weight. I came in with my mom and grabbed quite a few things, and asked to be helped finding a dressing room. The girls behind the counter laughed at us and proceeded to talk. My anxiety went through the roof with the treatment we got, and I proceeded into to an open dressing room and started trying things on. I heard my mom ask for help with a dressing room a few minutes later, and she was met with a snarky āthere arenāt any.ā And more laughs from the girls behind the counter. There were 6 dressing rooms total, only 3 were open. Some of the other customers told her the associates didnāt help with a room either when they noticed how she was treated. We ended up having to cram both of us in one tiny dressing room (one I had to let myself into) and there was no room to hang things up, barely any to try anything on, and my mom decided to give up on getting new clothes and buy some small bag so she wasnāt leaving without making a purchase. I stayed back in the dressing room and started hanging things back up as I heard the girls behind the counter badmouthing my mom after she left. At that point I decided to pay for my things and leave, then was stopped by another associate or manager asking me to hang things up and that it was āintentionalā that there were still clothes un hung. He told me there was a 5 item limit and that I brought significantly more than that into the dressing room. I told him if I had been helped and informed of the limit in the first place, I would not have brought more than 5 things in a room and wouldnāt have had to share one and could have hung everything back up. I told him I would love to come back and hang things up, and that I was genuinely upset about the way we were treated. I have never come to a Platoās without hanging things up before I left. But to sit there and hang clothes up for them while I listen to my mom being badmouthed is unacceptable. Iām bummed, Iāve been coming here almost weekly. But as you can see from the other reviews, we were not the first to be treated poorly by snotty mean girl energy from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThey don't buy your clothes, they steal them! The worst store! Do not go here, I brought 3 bags of clothes on Monday, July 22nd, I usually sell my clothes at cheapskate store but a friend recommended this store to me, not this location! And I wanted to try it, which was the worst mistake I could have made!! From the moment I walked in, the staff was giving me dirty looks and were not friendly. I checked in on the tablet and left my 3 bags of clothes where I had brand new pieces, still with the tags. A Macy's dress with a price tag of $56.00 and a pair of jeans with a tag that I also don't remember the brand or the price, also a Princess Polly skirt and many more items! There were 3 bags full... I left my clothes and they told me they had a 35 minute wait so I decided to leave them and make other trips in that time... I called them asking if I could pick up my clothes the next day or if there was a problem, they told me that I could pick them up and that they had bought 15 of my clothes for $30 dollars, ridiculous! When I spoke on the phone on Monday, the girl who answered me only warned me that if I didn't pick up the clothes the same day they couldn't pay me cash, but they could only give me store credit and I was fine with that. When I arrived to pick up my clothes on Wednesday, they told me that my clothes had been donated!! This store literally stole my clothes, as I mentioned before I had completely brand new clothes with tags and I never knew which items they bought from my bags. Nobody called me or sent a text message warning me that they were going to donate my clothes, who can assure me that they did? They probably just took them and will make money out of other people clothes. When I spoke to the girls who were at the front I was never rude ,a big girl with short hair and glasses had an attitude towards me and didn't want to give me her name. worst...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give them a lower rate I would. I took my beautiful dresses and about 400 pieces of brand new paparazzi jewelry into them to try to sell them. I waited around for the quote of what they would pay me, they gave me an estimate of $3.47 I told them no it was too low and to give me my stuff back they took my dresses bunch them in a bunches and threw them in the bag and also all the jewelry that was in bags was now laying on the counter for me to try to find a way of getting and again through them in the bag, picture below their attitudes were worse than throwing my stuff around with no care. I went to leave in asked about the manager or owner's name and was told that they were not able to give me that name. I think if they were not in trouble with me they wouldn't have had any problem at all passing the name of the owner down to me I called back this morning to see if I could talk to a manager and talk to you a very young person who had no idea what had happened nor did she care. My advice to anybody who's looking to sell their things like that is to stay away from Plato's closet and they don't care about you meaning they don't care about you as a customer or someone selling their wares so stay away from them I would find someplace else like maybe the newspaper or the side of the road would get you better money and get you better attitude I will not go to Plato's closet for anything ever again and I think that they really need to train their employees and find out who is saying what sizes or what because the smalls would fit a Barbie doll and the largest would not go over my chest so unless you are a Barbie doll you probably wouldn't find anything to fit you anyway...
