My wife and I ordered dinner the other night using Grub Hub. The first time we ordered we liked the food. This time, everything went wrong. We prepaid since grubhub makes you tip in advance as well as pay a delivery fee. We mainly picked Hunan because we really liked the teriyaki chicken last time. After we had already paid for it, we got a phone call from a rude lady that said they were out of the teriyaki chicken. They gave us a few wings and two extra egg rolls to make up for it. Also, it took over two hours to get our food (the rude lady on the phone said she was not sure when our order would be there since it was snowing). The grubhub estimated delivery time said between 9:03pm-9:13pm and we got our food at 10:15pm. The Schezuan beef I ordered was inedible and the kung pao chicken my wife ordered came with a raw/rubbery egg roll and chicken that was not fully cooked. Also, the "wings" were too crunchy to bite into. Needless to say we threw our dinner away and went to bed hungry. When I tried to get a refund from grubhub, they said Hunan Express would only give us 15% off. I called the Hunan express to plead my case. The guy was rude and condescending, putting me on the defensive constantly. He said that since we ate there before we liked it. He also asked why I didn't drive the food back to the restaurant. First of all, the restaurant would have been closed at 10:30 at night. Second of all, I tipped them AND paid the delivery fee already. He then further argued with me and said I should have taken the food back the very next day. Who is willing to let food sit all night and all day just to wait until they open the next day? I work and cannot leave whenever I want. This was one of the worst experiences I have had at a restaurant ever! DO...
Read moreSo i just finished my first order here. I ordered delivery (delivery minimum is 15$ btw)
I orderd a combo of sweet and sour chicken-6.25$ And a plate of beef chow mein_7.29 I must say, when i got my bag food it smelled wonderful. The chow mein was delicious! It wasnt ovrrdone with too many veggies like other places, it did need more beef but was still very tasty. The sweet and sour chicken plate was decent. The chicken did come plain with a sauce next to it, i wasnt quite a huge fan of the sauce, but that may be because im more of an orange chicken person :p.... Anyways, it tasted good once i got the taste of it. The ham fried rice was quite good, it was tasty actaully. I only had likr 3 grains that were hard/overdone. The egg roll actaully tasted good, and i usually hate egg rolls. Out of the 2 plates, my fav was the chow mein with beef. Next would be the rice, then the chicken along with the sauce, and fianally the egg roll...
I think the portions were fair for the price. Delivery said it would be about 45 min, and it only took about 25 min. And my bag even came with the fortune cookies which many dont give on delivery!
Overally it was...
Read moreAfter moving all day, our family decided Chinese sounded good! WRONG!!!! While ordering, we had to repeat our card# 3 times, the total on the phone was $40-ish. It arrived 30 minutes late, and cold. And upon further notice, they doubled half our order, (which was still wrong) and charged us for it. The other half of the order didn’t even come, So we paid $80+ for food we didn’t get / didn’t need! We called them letting them know about the mistake and double charge, they then asked us to either bring back the food to get a refund or hold it in the fridge for 2 days (they’re closed Sunday’s) and bring it in with the receipt to get our money back on Monday! We asked them to send the delivery driver back and get it and bring the other half we ordered and didn’t get! Matthew is who we spoke with over the phone, and to be honest we were disgusted at the fact that he asked us to hold onto the food for 2 days! What are you going to do with it after 2 days? Re-serve it to your customers? After that comment, the food we DID have, all of a sudden was not looking so good to us… 0/10 recommend this place, the food, the employees, and the service...
