Definitely one of the older skateparks in the Salt Lake valley. Has been repaired multiple times and has many chips and dings on most of the obstacles in the area. The city is supposed to be building a new one in the next couple of years in our family has met with the Taylorsville City council to discuss proposals of building a new one. The city has been more than willing to talk about it and has met with us to do the repairs and build a new one which again should happen in the near future. We like it because it's close to our home and it challenges my kids pretty well as far as skateboarding goes. We do not recommend the skatepark for scooters. Read moreFirst off, its pretty poorly maintained. It has definitely suffered many years of neglect and it shows. Cracks and chips in the concrete all over the place, not a whole lot of opportunity for skateboards. You can make do with it, but there are probably 10 other parks within about 15 minutes that are significantly better. Most of the ramps have very little to no transition, the bowl's transition is a little off in my opinion, just a weird old park that has seen a lot of abuse and neglect over the years. Read moreVery sad to see such a huge waste of money on concrete AGAIN from the city. Relief joints are huge, caulk lines are massive, and the finish job looks like the work of a child. I foresee more work on up keep here than that of bountiful. Which just had to re pour an entire quarter pipe because of poor craftsmanship. Taylorsville park will likely be unskateable within a year or two, with either removal or remedies leading to spending as much money as it would have cost to hire better qualified builders.
