Extremely poor customer service - not just by the employee but by the manager (Kim Rubi). I am disgusted on how I was treated by both and amazed that they are able to represent UPS.
I wish I would have gotten the name of the individual who first 'served' me. She as rude, obnoxious, and discourteous. I was appalled by her lack of respect and her inability to provide any options.
I was told that a) I needed a printed receipt even though I had a digital copy on my phone, and that it would be $5.00, for processing, to print one, as I needed it. When I refused, I was told there was nothing else they could do for me and I was asked to leave. I asked that my box be taped closed after it broke loose when trying to lift the heavy box to the scale, to which I was told by the same employee that tape was "over there (as she pointed) and I could purchase that" if I needed it to be closed. I declined both and returned a few hours later, after driving back home to print the label and adhere it to the box.
This time I was greeted by the manager, Kim Rubi, she instructed me about the 'scan for a receipt', I happily complied, and when I was at the counter, I asked "why didn't your last employee tell me that?", no apology ad she didn't know why... when asked if there was anything else, I asked for the name of the other employee as I wanted to file a complaint, Kim refused to offer any information, asked for a description of the employee, to which I asked "how many employees did you have working in the last two hours?!".
She was evasive, then copped out with "I am pregnant and can't remember all of those who worked today". Shocking. I asked for a corporate number to complain and was given her business card and Kim stating "this is a franchise, we don't have corporate".
I gave up from there, left my package, and left with extreme disgust for how I was treated. I have never experienced that kind of attitude - EVER - from UPS, and frankly, I wonder if this is what I am to expect in the future. I will avoid that store and UPS, if at all possible,...
Read moreAll of the employees are phenomenal and I simply consider them to be friends or at least acquaintances. They are very very professional, and highly recommend coming in the store and striking up a conversation while doing your business in there. All of the employees are very very respectful and amazing. Some of the standouts are Lilly, Olivia, Kiara, Kailyn, Nathanial, and Last but not least, Felicity. All phenomenal people and I really do appreciate them helping me every time I’m in the store with anything I need. I am there very often, I’d say maybe 2 times a week sometimes 3 times a week and I have never had a problem or dissatisfied experience. I remember the day I essentially started my knife business and I asked Kiara a ton of questions and she very gladly helped me and answered all the questions I needed answered and then continued to help me with my transaction, since then, the folks at my local UPS store have essentially become a part of my family, almost a second family and I am forever thankful and appreciative for their duties at their jobs. To sum it up, they deserve everything great in the world and I’m very very thankful for them, I always walk out of that store with a smile on my face because it feels very hospitable with all of those employees working there. It wouldn’t be the same without...
Read moreI would give 5 stars, but the store location is terrible. It's situated in a overcrowded strip mall with only a few parking spaces, that are too small and too close together. There's never anywhere to park. Plus a full size pickup truck is difficult to fit in the spaces. Making matters worse, there is no rear entrance or loading dock, so the UPS trucks take up two spaces whenever they pick up or drop off loads. The staff are wonderful, however there is almost always a line of people out the door waiting to be served. UPS could much better serve the community if it moved The Tehachapi store into a different location (up the street) where there is more room inside the store, less congestion from other businessed, and more parking spaces that are larger in size, with the ability for UPS delivery vans to load and unload in the back of the store without impeding business flow...
