I was a loyal customer at this nail salon since around August of 2017, but unfortunately will not be going back after the treatment I have received. I came in yesterday to get a dip manicure and a gel pedicure, and I asked for a matte top coat, instead of the shiny one I usually get. After the nail tech finished, the nails looked fine, but after I washed my hands it appeared that the surface of the nail on 2 fingers didn’t look even, as if there were bumps underneath and it looked like there were stains (which it wasn’t because I had just washed and carefully dried my hands). When I pointed it out to the nail tech to see if this was something that could be fixed, she told me that’s just how the matte polish is (that being uneven), and offered to do the shiny coat instead. I declined, because it wasn’t the design I wanted, so I apologized and asked her to take it off. I was upset that the manicure didn’t turn out well, but I was polite and respectful the whole time. However, the nail tech was giving me attitude, even though I’ve been seeing the same tech for months, and I was a good customer too, meaning I was never late, always scheduled my appointments ahead of time, and tipping at least 25-30% each time, but she started acting all frustrated after I pointed out these flaws. The bad manicure isn’t the reason I took time to write this review, it’s because of the treatment I received. I ended up having to pay for that manicure, as well as the polish take off. My words were twisted, as if I didn’t like the color, when in fact, I specified that the color was fine, it’s the quality of work that I wasn’t happy with. I also wouldn’t have any problem with paying the full price if it was indeed fixed, but they told me they didn’t have time on that day and I would have to come back later (as they continued taking walk in appointments, and I scheduled mine a week ahead of time). When I brought this up to the manager, she told me it wasn’t the nail tech’s fault, but gave me a 25$ certificate. While I appreciate the gesture, I will not be using it because I’d rather take my business elsewhere. I understand that faulty nail polish isn’t the nail tech’s fault, but it wasn’t mine either. I also realize that matte polish is trickier to work with because it makes all the flaws more visible, unlike the shiny top that reflects light and conceals those flaws. But I believe that’s something that should be communicated in advance, because as a customer I have no way of knowing which of your polishes are “good” and which are “bad”. The attitude of the nail tech was unprofessional, and I’m saying this as someone who has worked customer service. I understand that customers can make all sorts of unreasonable demands, but good communication is the key in...
Read moreIt's really a sad day for me today. I've been coming for 4 years and really have been overall thrilled with their services. Love their hours too. The owner she is a sweet woman. Today at 930 I came in for eyebrow plucking due to my acne treatment. I do most of the work it's just a trim and a few touch ups. I dragged my walker out and during a pandemic they turned business away. There were people available it was not super busy so I could have accommodated. Always willing to pay more since it's more time consuming since I can not get waxed. I've always tipped very well so it was surprising that the gentleman who turned me away has worked on my hands.
Edit: So to add further insult to injury an employee decided it was a great idea to tell me I left a bad review because "a tech was off"....no the negative review was for the negative treatment I received. The owner would assign whoever was available so it wasn't something she was doing herself. Not once in 4 years was I told I needed an appointment, not once in 4 years was I told it was a service not performed and they couldn't even hold the door for me seeing I came in using a walker. They watched me struggle to get in the door and do you think they offered to assist me? No they did not even acknowledge it. She claimed they told me when the owner would be in they did not. They did not offer to make an appointment. It's also funny she claimed that they did all of these things but I spoke to a gentleman not a woman. There was no politeness or accommodating about my experience which is the first time I ever experienced this. They did not explain anything except we dont do that we never have and a snarky sorry. Mind you there were plenty of people available it was not even busy!!! Check the tape. My story will match up to what I said not what this woman claims happened when I was...

I stopped in a month ago and had my nails done by Amanda, and, though she wasn't very friendly, I was pretty happy with the job she did, so yesterday my daughter and I scheduled appointments for us to each have "gel manicures" today, as well as a gel pedicure for my daughter. My appointment was schedule with Amanda, and when it was scheduled, no one asked exactly what I wanted done, i.e. any art work, etc. Another technician took my daughter right away when we arrived today, but I had to wait a while after my scheduled 2 p.m. appointment with Amanda. When she finally took me back, I showed her the gel color I wanted and proceeded to explain that I also wanted hearts to be painted on some of my nails, and she rudely snapped at me "I can't do hearts! I don't have time to do hearts since I have a 2:30 appointment." Well what about MY APPOINTMENT, lady!?!? Instead of putting up with her nasty attitude, I just told her "You know what? Let's just forget it then... if I can't get what I want." She didn't offer to go ahead and do my nails, but just walked away. It was an extremely unfortunate and uncomfortable situation since my daughter was well on her way with getting her pedicure and manicure, and I had a lot of time to kill... so I went to a much friendlier business in the center... Ross. No, I would never again recommend anyone waste their time or money on or in...
