I have had an amazing experience with Black Rose over the past year. The staff are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about all sorts of TCGs, always ready to help with deck-building tips or game recommendations. The store is well-stocked with a huge variety of cards, accessories, and board games, catering to both casual players and competitive collectors. The atmosphere is welcoming, with organized events and plenty of space for gaming. They have done a great job promoting good hygiene and friendly environment for everyone to enjoy. Prices are fair, and they often have great deals. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player, this is the perfect spot for card game enthusiasts. They welcomed many new groups recently as well. Supporting local clubs and hobbie groups. Jacob and his team are the most stand-up group of sellers in the area. I have been and will continue to consider them as my home store....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI started coming to the store shortly after they first opened. I hadn't played MTG in years. First day I walked in I looked around and asked what "Precon" premade deck I should buy. Chris (Store Manager) asked me a couple questions then pulled out Zombies. Perfect fit for me. I found some people in one of the back rooms (At the time) and asked if I could play. Mike (Now a store employee) took the time to catch me up and teach me the game with 2 other brand new players. Without hesitation, Mike bought me a pack of card sleeves just to help me get started. They've constantly went hand over foot to help, not only me, but so many in their pursuit of something new and something old. The store and community does its best to try and make it feel like a home away from home. While no one or thing is perfect, they gave me a reason to smile again. I wouldn't trade them for the world. Thanks Black...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOwner of the shop has been outright hostile towards me since I mentioned in the discord that I had attended dnd events at another local game store and was wanting to organize the local community between the stores. DND is already a niche enough hobby without gate keeping. I then suggested how they could improve their discord to help players find games to organize like setting up a channel for LFG and LFP. This was enough for him to ban me from the store entirely stating that ā We have shop campaigns and if we need more then I will coordinate more games to open up and get more DMs.ā
He then promptly banned me from the store and blocked me on discord. If this store doesnāt support Game masters finding players. Then players will naturally gravitate towards where GMs are welcome to organize. Take your business elsewhere. I...
