I absolutely would not recommend this place for a divorce lawyer.

The lawyer I had, hardly did one thing for me. She completely wasted my time.

She would not speak to me in laymens terms even after I would ask for clarification, she seemed to get annoyed that I didn't want her to use her lawyer jargon.

She seemingly wanted to believe my ex over me and I was the one that hired this firm...not my ex! They did more work for my ex than they did for me and charged ME for it, not my ex.

They did not make me feel like I was a valued client.

They racked up my bill-they charged me 10k to do a temporary TRO (which did nothing for me because my ex was still able to do as he pleased with no consequences). And every time my ex would lie, I had to prove that lie wrong, and all the law firm did was make paper copies of each and every lie that my ex would tell them and charge me for copies. Nothing came of the lies in court. My ex was able to keep telling the lies even though I had proof. My lawyer never defended me from my ex to the Judge.

I really don't foresee copies of paper work that I already gave them (and I did all the work for the law firm) and a Temporary TRO is $10k. After I started to see that we were not moving forward in court and wasting my time, I started to get upset, naturally. Which in turn upset my lawyer (it seemed) and she quit on me saying that we aren't able to communicate. I already told this company from the get go that I do not have money to blow stupidly and I am on a VERY low income and my ex was taking EVERYTHING from me little by little..... he is an abusive manipulative lazy bum.. That didn't seem to matter to them what so ever.

My lawyer quit on me in the middle of my divorce process. That was actually a Godsend because I was able to hire another lawyer out of a different law office (NOT Carlson Law Firm) and that lawyer was VERY reasonably priced, got the things done over YEARS of sticking with me and never quit on me, never charged me an arm and a leg over the years it took to finalize the divorce, spoke to me like I was a valued client, and was very nice through and through.

I would NOT recommend Carlson Law Firm for...

I first went to Pearl in the middle of October 2015 begging her for a divorce that I have long been waiting for... (almost 6 years) From the day that I met her she has been extremely kind and understanding and informative about the things to come next. She has been very diligent with everything that she has done for me and has gone out of her way to make sure that I know what is to come next. I met Renee the day of my divorce(which I can proudly say has been completed since 03/02!!!!) and she greeted me as if we have spoken multiple times. She walked me through everything that was going to happen in court. She could tell that I was extremely nervous so she reassured me that it was all going to be ok and gave me words of encouragement so that I didn't break down in front of the judge. These two amazing women helped me in the hardest part of my life and made sure that my daughter and I got everything that we needed taken care of. I couldn't ask for a better team of people and I would recommend them to anyone that needs legal guidance. I even got a refund for some of my divorce and I didn't have to wait months.. I'm sure they will pay to have this review removed but I hope it helps someone else. I was very nicely made an appt that whomever I was supposed to be meeting didn't even show up. Then I was seated in a room by myself to speak over the phone with a woman in another city who told me that after 13 years, a man that has never seen not spoken to my child by choice has more rights than my husband who has raised her since she was 16 most old and that they could not even begin to help me with this problem until I paid them $2000 which to be certain I understand that it is by no means a flat rate fee. But the that $2000 would begin to pay someone else to find a man that my daughter doesn't want found. They didn't even have he courtesy to have someone say that to my face. But they have he audacity to ask me for $2000???????? Get a heart Carlson I'm sure your bills folds are running over...but how is it you sleep at night???? Disgusting!!!!! I understand that this process costs money, but don't tell me you're in it for the sake of the children and the family because that is a BOLD FACED LIE!!!! One that I will not be fed!! You should be ashamed of yourselves....
