Yummy Crab (Temple) — Restaurant in Temple

the fried rice is good it has light flavor but it was good. We had a number of items from the menu. 2 Seafood Boil bags (VERY BLAND IN FLAVOR, they just steam the food then put it in the bag with sauce). Fried fish (undercooked.and shrimp basket NO flavor just batter. Chicken wings were better but the lemon pepper wings were very sour (not the normal lemon pepper kinda sour). I gave this place 1 star because the waitress was HORRIBLE and the food was not good enough to be priced as high as it is. I waited 20 minutes before she came to the table to take my drink order (gave her my food order at the same time as my drink order) I waited 15 minutes for just my drink and still had to stop a separate waitress and she gave me my drink. The waitress did not come back to the table at this point for 30-40 minutes and when she did she came with food for only 2 people. It took a FULL hour and 45 minutes for almost everyone to get their plate. (It was NOT packed) (10 of us total including the 3 kids meals) 2 kids sat for an additional 20 min after 4 adults got their meals. And she gave 1 kid the wrong meal waited 30 minutes to come back and say it was the wrong order it belonged to another table!! Then proceeded to take her food from her as she was eating it….. I had to remind her that there was still orders missing and the rest of us were done eating before the other 3 got their food. Fast forward to the check that we had to ask another waiter to give us along with refills because our waitress was always nowhere to be found. She had up charged and added charges to some of our tickets (had to ask another waitress to fix). We’ll try this place as a family 1 more time in hopes of a better experience but this one was a horrible experience. We walked in and there was no one at the reception station. We waited for a while until finally a man cut through the bar and ask the employees if they were going to help us and they just ignored him.

The man came around the bar and said to follow him! No hello or how are you. Took us to a table to be seated. We waited a while longer with employees running all around but no one acknowledged we were there!

Finally the man came back and got our drink order and brought them to us. He then asked if we knew what we wanted? He pulls out a sticky note and looks for something to write with.

He takes our order and disappears for a while!

After about 45 minutes a lady brings us out seafood boil and sets it on the table then walks off and said she was going to get us some plates. After about 5 minutes she comes back with the plates lays them on the table and walks off. She didn’t ask if we needed anything or offer to help shake the bag or anything. We shook our bag and opened it ourselves.

It looked and smelled really good.

We ordered;

Seafood Boil with 1 lb. Snow Crab Legs, 3 lbs Shrimp, Corn on the Cob, extra Potatoes, and 1 lb. Sausage. We ordered a side of Rice and 4 Hard Boiled Eggs! All looked good but they forgot the eggs!

It took several minutes to get anyone’s attention. We finally waved down an employee and told her we didn’t have a waitress and didn’t get our eggs. She apologized and got out Hard Boiled Eggs and then a lady came up finally and told us she would be our waitress. She took care of us for the rest of our visit.

The food was good and we really enjoyed it.

Except for the beginning it was good.

I wish I could’ve rated their food because it smelled so delicious. Sadly, we did not dine here due to our server being horrible. Me and my family had a reservation at 6:00 pm on Saturday we showed up and there was only two people in the restaurant bedsides us so it was NOT busy AT ALL. At first our server Teresa was good she was friendly got our drinks out to us quick and took down our orders quick. While waiting on appetizers two other groups and a couple came in after and sat down well about 20-25 mins go by and we still had no appetizers and no food but when we looked at the other tables that got there after us they already had food and were finishing up. We were beyond pissed so we flagged down another server since Teresa was NO WHERE IN SIGHT and told her our situation. The server we talked to brushed it off and just said “we busy” but they were not busy when we put in our order for apps and food!! So finally our server comes with an attitude and says “She says yall wanna cancel?” As if we made her mad for wanting to cancel the food we ordered almost an hour ago and still have not seen!
