Just had a very bad experience at this location, by staff and management. Claimed there was no gratuity before being seated and once check was received we had noticed a gratuity added to the end of our ticket, when pointing it out they claimed the girl was new and didn't know. So what?! She still represents that restaurant regardless, she should've been trained and made aware of the difference between being force charged a tip or leaving a complimentary tip, but before we jump for the windows I do want to point out the blonde Mexican woman manager did adjust that for me with minimum attitude. The problem really set in when a waitress I never in my life met or been waited on by in my 40yrs of life, claims she waited on me on my the last visit and the last place she claimed to have worked at, which was a flat out lie; cause we had a gentleman waitor the last visit to this specific restaurant that waited; whom was more deserving of the tip than my experience tonight with this lying chunky white girl waitress... However, upon paying for my meal, this waitress decides to come upto the cashier that was taking care of me, and clearly said " if people don't plan to tip, then they don't need to come to this restaurant!", She was a lousy waitress, an unprofessional person, and when demanding a manager she told the cashier don't worry I'll go get her, I'm on assuming so she can try an coach her into what's going on or supposedly said. But manager anyways she acted as if she could care less this person said that in front of paying customers and other potential paying customers. And to top it off she sat there and said the exact same thing I was complaining about so there was no denying what she said to me in my face, and all she did was tell the manager "I'll be in the back waiting for my punishment"..which I'm sure will be the both of them having a laugh out of all this I'm sure nothing punishable will come to this waitress at all. Note to self people, check your tickets, ask the right questions to the right people obviously before...
Read moreWent to this location tonight for the first time. I have been to the other location before and have had excellent service, but can’t say the same for this location. We walked in at 8:05 to celebrate my dads birthday and the manager asked if it was okay that they closed at 9 and we said yes because we had plenty of time. However we were rushed from the moment we walked in the door. Five minutes after receiving our drinks the manager comes and takes our order very rudely and rushed... keep in mind another table came in after us and we’re being treated politely and professionally as they should have been... but they were Mexican and we were not so I guess that was the issue. After going to place our orders the manager comes back and informs my dad that they don’t have any Chile rellenos... which are my dads favorite. He asked if my dad wanted anything else, which at that point my dad said never mind because the service up until then was so awful. He kept trying to defend his actions by saying that he let us know that they were closing at 9. He continued to say that he was sorry that they didn’t have the chill rellenos... which wasn’t the issue it was that we were rushed from the moment we walked in. He then proceeded to get into my dads face and keep raising his voice when the manager was in the wrong. He said he didn’t care if we called the owners or not, so I’m guessing he is related to owners and is untouchable. Such a shame to have someone like himself as the manager because the food is decently good at this place but due to this situation they will not be getting our service again. Keep in mind, we were a party of 7 and were prepared to spend a decent amount of money here. Not to mention the manager threatened to call the police on us as he kept trying to get aggressive with my dad by pushing up on him. Owners/upper management should certainly resolve this considering he seemed so unbothered by how he...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this restaurant for several years, usually every Friday, to enjoy the Mambo Taxis. At first, the service was great, but things have changed since they raised their prices and got new management. Over the past year and a half, I’ve noticed the service getting worse, so I don’t visit as often anymore. Today, May 16th, 2025, was the last straw, and I felt I needed to share my experience.
I went with my parents, and we asked for blended Mambo Taxi Margaritas. Our waitress told us the blender was “broken,” so we ordered margaritas on the rocks instead. Unfortunately, these drinks tasted terrible-more like juice with no alcohol. We all agreed not to order another round.
About 20 minutes later, the waitress came back and said they were serving blended margaritas again. I was frustrated because I would have waited if I’d known the blender would be fixed so soon. Still, we ordered the blended Mambo Taxis, and those were good.
While eating, a man (who I thought was a waiter) asked if everything was okay. I said yes, because we didn’t need anything at the moment. When we got the bill, we saw we were charged full price ($8 each) for the bad margaritas on the rocks. We decided to talk to the manager about the poor quality. When the manager arrived, he defended himself by saying he had checked on us earlier. It turned out he was the same man who’d asked how things were, but he never introduced himself as the manager, so I didn’t know who he was.
Overall, the lack of communication from both the waitress and the manager was disappointing. My family and I used to come here regularly, but we’ve all noticed the decline in service. With the current prices and the experience, we had today, I can’t recommend this place anymore. Instead, I suggest trying Sol De Jalisco-Gen Bruce-the service and quality there are much better now than at...
