Kroc's Butcher Shop — Local services in Terre Haute

Today first time ever going to Krock's I heard good things about it and for Father's day was going to try to smoke a brisket what I seen price wise online figured I would drop between $50 & $100 on a pice of meat on the door says old time Bucher shop was excited figured I would get old time service i went in she nicely greated me i advice her what I was looking for and why she advised me that they didn't have any but the Is Farmersburg shop did (not a issue was willing to drive) so I said to the lady I don't know if u can answer my questions but I have a few questions about brisket I have never bought a brisket so I had some questions the next words out of her mouth was you can look it up online honestly I Was appalled when it came to the smoking part yes I could look it up online but my questions had nothing to do with how to smoke it my questions was about the meat itself I did not think I would be dismissed like that at the time it was 10:05 in the morning and there was no one else inside i was handed a price list of what they offer someone else walked in a min or 2 later she greated them I believe they look at me because she said he just looking I can take your order I expected great customer service from a door that says OLD TIME Bucher I can honestly say I went to another store the first person I talk to didn't know how to answer my question either but offered to get the Bucher he was very friendly even tho he didn't know the answer Bucher did answer them if she didn't know how to answer the question she could of kindly said she didn't know much about the meat and I would have drove to Farmersburg but her attitude and dismissal pushed me away from...

Stopped by after my heart appointment across the street where it was recommended as the best place to shop for meats. After trying their thin Ribeye steak I was extremely happy with the tenderness, taste and quality of it. I wished I had gotten far more. I can't wait to taste the pork steaks that are flavored and the bacon. We at the ribeye for breakfast which is why I got the thin sliced. They not only get five stars for the Ribeye they get five stars for service. Thanks Krocs for restoring my faith in butcher shops. Unlike the wanna bes like grocery stores call butcher shops. You owe yourself the best stop here...

I was excited to try their meats, however, I don't think I am too impressed so far. The prices were quite pricey, and I understand they should be for the service, but the promise of great meat was not met. So far, our steaks were not superior to those I could get at Kroger. And the hamburger was basically turning bad the second I got it home. I also got a few other things I hope will be good. Not very impressed for spending almost $100.
